Turn around stir fries, every now and then I feel a part (of a mango)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I like Love Pea Tender but why are you laughing at me?

TooTicky · 02/03/2008 21:48

Hello Pink I'm not laughing, I'm eating truffled walnuts, which is a very serious business.

Franny, on my mooncup thread, you know the way the lines get run together on Threads I'm on... well, one of your posts has "TooTit's natural she may not want" and I clicked hastily, wondering if you had really called me TooTit and what I didn't want

Boco · 02/03/2008 21:48

Not laughing at you Pink, just at the idea that veggers can't be left alone without reverting back to peculiar role play scenarios. I like it.

I had 4 ferrero roche chocolates bought by dd1 at school. They taste exactly like nutella on riveta, just in a different shape. I got a huge massive lie in and home made scotch pancakes in bed.

I got woken in the middle of the night by a drunken friend calling to tell me she loves me, which is nice, but she passed the phone to her poor dinner party guests so that they could say hello too. I had been deeply asleep and it was really confusing. They tried to do polite chat but was too odd.

TooTicky · 02/03/2008 21:54

Boco, that sounds like a hellish phone call for the middle of the night!

My great uncle used to grow the nuts for Ferrero Rocher.

pinkspottywellies · 02/03/2008 21:57

What's a truffled walnut? Sounds yum!

Boco · 02/03/2008 21:57

It was a bit odd. It was on my mobile which was next to my bed, so lying in the dark, dazed, talking to slurring people.

Boco · 02/03/2008 21:58

truffled walnut sounds like all my worst things in one thing.

FrannyandZooey · 02/03/2008 21:58

oh gosh I am meant to have been starting new thread
it feels all wrong on a Sunday night doesn't it

TooT I noticed that also and sniggered

Grilled walnuts coated in dark chocolate and dusted with cocoa powder. Still nice and knobbly and walnut shaped. My mother's day present from dd1
I keep going to the cupboard to get just one more before I do the washing up. I have had several.

pinkspottywellies · 02/03/2008 21:59

I used to do that a lot when dh was in the Navy. He would ring me slurring and walking back to the ship on his own. I always worried that he might fall in! It's very confusing being woken up by the phone.

FrannyandZooey · 02/03/2008 22:01

I started today so well - 5 portions by 10am, 8 by 1 o'clock - and nothing sensible since. I missed dinner, which hasn't helped, because I am now too hungry to cook and the bread is still dough and the sink is full of washing up

Greensleeves · 03/03/2008 16:16

Can I be Widow Twanky-Baskets?

You bunch of fucking fruitcakes

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 21:11

Think this thread is the salvation I've been looking for. Been eating nowt but crap these days culminating in feeling really tired and bloated [d'uh emoticon] Need to eat more fresh stuff and get rid of this chocolate craving. Think I'll hit the market later for some F&V, and def. need to drink more water.

FrannyandZooey · 04/03/2008 09:06
