For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Avi, I hope it stops hurting soon and that you don't have to use the ABs.

Franny, I had quite a horrific birth experience with dd1 and much better ones with the other three. I think it's the unexpectedness of everything with your first that adds to the confusion.

Zippi, we'll miss you . You always speak a lot of sense and make me smile. I'm sorry you are having a difficult time and I hope things settle down soon.

Please come back very soon.

And I have a complaint. All the talk on this thread about boats has given me wild ideas about spending the rest of my days on a narrowboat. To the point where I've researched residential moorings, criteria for being a continuous cruiser and boats for sale

You ladies have a LOT to answer for

UnderRated · 19/02/2008 05:14

And another thing... the boat talk has reminded me about the Levellers and I now have 2 of their songs stuck in my tiny little head and it's driving me nuts

FrannyandZooey · 19/02/2008 07:52

zippi flipping heck what brought that on?

darn it you are my voice of reason
and we shall fret about you
and I want to hear what you are doing and everything about the climber
