For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You are all awed into silence.

I can understand this.

It is an extraordinary achievement.

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:24

my goodness

I think I feel a motivational poster coming on

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:27

I have prepared a few words, here [brandishes notepad], just a few people to thank, recipes to admire, thoughts and inspirations to share . . .

[coughs. waits for spotlight]

MrsCarrot · 17/02/2008 20:29

oh yes, a poster is called for here I think. I still admire mine on my profile now and then, though it says I don't have a profile. I do.

That soup sounds tasty. May I ask if your dinner was a casserole with celery in, 100x, or did you have it as a vegetable on the side?

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:29

howzat?

MrsCarrot · 17/02/2008 20:30

very good

UnderRated · 17/02/2008 20:31

More yummy food . I am off to a birthday party this afternoon.

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:31

Boco I am sorry about your skin. Were you still taking the magic water remedy or do you stop once it has cleared up?

100 would you like to choose next week's title in honour of your fruity prowess?

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:32

That is ABSOLUTELY BLARDY MARVELLOUS.

I am lololol and oddly touched and utterly triumphant. Go, Joyce.

No MrsC [important voice] it wasn't. It was roasted vegetables with goats cheese and a erm, steak. Celery was roasted with everything else, and with fennel seeds.

Boco when you talk to Wizard ask them why I've got this thing about fennel. I keep bunging it in everything and drinking fennel tea. [utterly narcissitic emoticon] Don't worry about your rash, ask about the fennel.

I love the poster Franny. A lot.

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:33

100 Juno really has been successful hasn't it? Did you think it would be such a hit when you saw it, or did you see it as more nichey?

I don't want to give bits away for people who might want to see it, but I was SO glad the ending was as it was, re: what she decided. It felt right and true and real and it was not a crappy tacked on happy ending - so many otherwise very good films do have those

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:34

can I pretend you really look like that? A bit?

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:35

can we at least say that you have a dress like that?

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:38

Yes, please do. She is wearing my overall too, I have the same. I have long been looking for a garment that carries the panache of a school overall with the ties that go through the holes.

I don't think I thought it would be so big, but I don't know. DH said 'We should vote for her, I think she'll win an Oscar' so perhaps it was always going to be good?

I liked the ending too. I liked all of it, except the first five minutes when I thought 'Uh oh'. I liked it much more than Little Miss Sunshine, which I thought was a bit of a fake. Sort of purposefully dysfunctional and indie. Whereas this was a bit of a gem really, and funny and clever too. I liked him in his yellow shorts.

MrsCarrot · 17/02/2008 20:39

So annoying your skin has flared up again, Boco. Can you identify anything that is similar ot happening like before?

100x - god that sounds delicious. Were there no carbs? I am awe of those who can avoid carbs. The biscuits won.

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:39

LOL. X Posts about the dress.

I am dizzy with success, it is making me tipsy and fly-away.

I have to go and put dcs to bed I suppose. I like half term.

MrsCarrot · 17/02/2008 20:40

Oh, I am pleased i'm not the only on who didn't love the sunshine one. DH was raving about it and I was fairly unmoved.

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:40

I believe some potatoes were in there too MrsC. I could barely see them for the fennel of course.

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:41

yes yes I couldn't bear the first 5 minutes! It was so stylised and the so called witty banter and all that attitude - ugh, I thought I was really going to struggle
I liked the animated titles but I was distracted by the 14 year old tossers behind us who had clearly come by accident, and were going to make fart jokes during every quiet moment, just to prove they weren't turning gay or something because they were watching a film about a gur-rrrl

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:42

I haven't watched the sunshine one but I want to

I want to know what to see when I am in London next week - NEXT WEEK MRSC - I have decided to go and see a film in the evening after carb loading

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:43

yellow shorts guy was FAB I loved him
very very very good
the dad was great also, who was he?

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:47

Yes, wasn't the scene where she tells the dad and step-mum good? It was at that point I went 'Oh god, this going to be REALLY good.'

There Will Be Blood is amazing you know. I don't know if it is your sort of thing, but it is an exceptional film.

You will like The Savages, I think. I did, it's dead good.

FrannyandZooey · 17/02/2008 20:48

look I could go to see just because the premise made me laugh

or this which has the divine Mr Wilson in, but they don't seem to have cast him for his beauty as he spends the entire trailer with his face covered in bandages

or this which actually looks like it could be quite BAD but I couldn't find anything else that was a comedy and not an action / horror / thriller thing

if I am sleeping on my own in hotel that night I do NOT need a scary film first

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:49

Hmmm.

ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:49
Grin
ahundredtimes · 17/02/2008 20:51
