For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ooh, really? I need aran weight - woolly but not too difficult to wash as air drying in this house isn't practical and the weather is pants.
I got drenched in my beautiful huge purple jumper today and am wondering miserably if it will actually dry before it goes smelly. Forecast says four days of rain.

Ah well. Thanks anyway
But after the towel stage - what then? It never really gets warm in here - the radiators get hot but don't heat much else.
And I haven't used the wood burning stove this winter because the fireguard is full of clutter

Hello, 10/10ers.

Hot damn, Salinger was 89 last week.

I am on a new leaf so have been very good with 10s and excercise

but I am back at work now (feckity-feck) so have to compete for dodgy sandwiches and bagettes. A shame.

I've just got in a muddle cutting and pasting links for new thread now it's goddamn disappeared. Someone else do it, please.

Felt like a fool in the dentist this morning as he sent me away without doing an x-ray as he reckons my toothache is due to my coldsore as it's in the same place and it's affected by nerves. Good there's no filling I suppose though it was waste of time.

I am starving and fat. I have put on half a stone over Christmas I think. Why doesn't the weight fall off me when I'm breastfeeding?

MrsCarrot · 08/01/2008 11:07

I wonderede why I rather uncharacteristically said Goddamn, it must been subconciously in response to Franny's diggety dawg.
