For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Reindeer?

Aviatrix, what a tough decision.

FK - why was the train only ok-ish? I want to know about reckless Januarys... my reckless season tends to be Feb/ March.

TooTicky · 02/01/2008 10:47

Goodness, it's quiet in here.
I'm not sure I have a reckless season as such, just daft moments.

MrsCarrot · 02/01/2008 11:37

Toot have replied again, or tried to. It won't let me reply for some reason, goes to secure payment server or something, so I used the other address again, hope thats ok.

TooTicky · 02/01/2008 11:43

Will try another test one from normal email.

TooTicky · 02/01/2008 19:01

Then stay Franny. Alternatively, you are always welcome to email me for a rant, if that's any help

The swimming pool was cold.

TooTicky · 02/01/2008 19:03

Fmf, don't buy cushions. If your boys are anything liked mine, surely you will constantly picking them up off the floor.

fullmoonfiend · 02/01/2008 19:36

yes Avi, that's why I am fighting it

fullmoonfiend · 02/01/2008 19:37

Actually TT, I do dpsned most of the day picking htem up, but then i spend most of the night snuggled up on them... so it's swings and roundabouts!

TooTicky · 02/01/2008 19:39

We had a throw on the sofa once, to hide the stained cover, but the constant picking up and straightening drove me INSANE!

fullmoonfiend · 02/01/2008 19:43

ah. We have a very snuggly brown fake furry throw which i am constantly having to retrive from the boys bedrooms. We al fight over it.

Anyway, F&V wise, 1 very disappointing satsuma, some grapes, some home made veg soup, cranberry juice, cheese/veg pasta bake for supper. With an old potato...

I feel dark and dismal.

TooTicky · 02/01/2008 19:46

Dd1 has a nice snuggly thing which would be great on the sofa but it has been languishing in a wardrobe for a few years and needs a damn good wash - but it is too big for the machine and quite unliftable when wet.

TooTicky · 02/01/2008 19:47

I am not eating well.

MrsCarrot · 02/01/2008 20:12

I had spaghetti bolognaise for dinner. After the last one with green lentils not being popular I stuck in extra veg instead and it was delicious.

I have erupted in impetigo all along my mouth, in my nose and ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY NOSE. I keep twitching and although it doesn't look too bad now, when it gets crusty I will look Urrgly. How do I get this two days into taking Abs? Is it taking the piss or a different bacteria? Went back to the GP as requested to check bad tit was clearing up and she said I was probably septiceamic and she had been very worried and I would have been in hospital before long and actually people used to die from these things before Abs. That did wonders for my anxiety.

Franny - I hoped you were lurking, stay a bit longer, you were doing so well at just coming on a bit. I, for one, love MIL tales. I can't moan about mine as she is dead now but she was a beast.

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 02/01/2008 20:16

hope u are recovering mrs c

i think it's a kind of salutary [sp] tAle we take antibiotics and people not dying from these things for granted..or our need not to take antibiotics and forget how people did actually die from regular complications like that

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 02/01/2008 20:18

maybe thats what the fim i am legend was trying to say

but it didnt do it very well

when there is a disaster like the tsunami or all the time in africa then it's these kind of drugs that run out isn't it

is it my name i am always sounding like a bimbo with a heart these days

MrsCarrot · 02/01/2008 20:20

yes, Zippi, I agree. I was talking to someone in the park today and they said just that, people moan on about them being overused and bad and they are overused but they do save lives, easy to forget that.

I think I had such a thing about not making Lo have an upset tummy that I lost sight a bit. Upset tummy or septiceamic mummy (sorry), I feel a bit stupid really.
