For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Oh yes, I'll look.

I heart MN. Have been in a twirl because I'd asked all dh's family for a get-together next Sunday for his 40th, and suggested a half-way meeting point around Monmouthshire, and then done NOTHING ABOUT IT.

Lovely people helped me on a thread. I now have a pub for lunch and a castle for afters.

My gawd, dh and dcs had better pay attention when it's my birthday.

And still no present for ds2 . . . . though party tomorrow and birthday for Tuesday.

I am wittering, I am tired of birthdays. So tired.

I need to do work, not spend my time crying down the phone to pub landlords saying 'yes, there will fourteen of us, please, it's not that many is it?'

FrayedKnot · 13/10/2007 19:22

I'm here! DS went to bed early, as he had been to the park with DH all afternoon and was shattered.

I went to bed for 3 hours because I was tired and feeling hot/cold /crappy/headachey

It was lovely to sleep in a quiet house and I rather heart DH today.

I have been pretty good with f&v but i usually only make about 7. I need to step it up a notch.

Sorry other people haVE been feeling crappy too.

I went to this comedy thing last night and the food was terrible but the comedians were v. funny.

fullmoonfiend · 13/10/2007 19:43

fullmoonfiend · 13/10/2007 19:53

I'm not a lying on the beach sort of person. (well only for about an hour!) And my kids are not the sandcastles types anymore (not when the surf's up...) So I sit and amuse myself...
