For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

felt more at home here than ever did in the city over the past 5 years.

FrannyandZooey · 13/10/2007 00:12

pointy yes

DO NOT MENTION CLOWNS

expatinscotland · 13/10/2007 00:12

might tuck in to some of this chickpea curry for a midnight snack here.

pointydog · 13/10/2007 00:13

I specifically changed my post from 'you clowning tomoiwoow' to 'you entertaining tomorrow'

and now you have made a mockery of my gragantuan effort by bringing up clowns yourself

pointydog · 13/10/2007 00:14

I mean, that was me really trying

FrannyandZooey · 13/10/2007 07:57

I saw through it pointy

you might as well have walked in here with a sign on your forehead saying "I am very likely indeed to mention clowns even though I am pretending to try not to"

I am croaking. What am I going to do? Aaaargh.

lionheart · 13/10/2007 08:27

Swig that honey stuff, Franny.

Glad it went well, zippi, notwithstanding the unflattering lights.

(I liked the rat thing too, psw).

FrannyandZooey · 13/10/2007 08:31

Yes am hoping to convince head coach to come and basically do my session, well, do all the talking anyway, while I run around and look encouraging

dp is going out for sage to make sage tea

but I think I am just going to have to muddle through at this party without singing and then not charge them Arse

lionheart · 13/10/2007 08:34

What a pain--but you don't want to damage your voice by doing it when you shouldn't.

FrannyandZooey · 13/10/2007 08:44

what can I do though lionheart? It's my job and I am self-employed. If I didn't work when my voice was a bit dodgy I would be off work and unpaid for several months each year, judging by last year

lionheart · 13/10/2007 08:45

I don't know, if you do it without the singing what is it you do with them?

lionheart · 13/10/2007 08:47

Could you put it in the contract they sign, something about illness and a different but similar set of activities and a cheaper rate (instead of no rate)?

FrannyandZooey · 13/10/2007 08:51

Oh god I have no idea

I am making this up on the spot

I usually do loads of songs and dancing and stuff. They have said they don't want dancing as the parents might feel shy about it (only 2 year olds so parents will be kind of joining in). But if I can't sing (and unless things get much better, I can't) I will have to croak my way through a few parachute games and so on. I don't know.

FrannyandZooey · 13/10/2007 08:51

and LOLOL at contract

yeah that would be good

if I had one

lionheart · 13/10/2007 08:59

No contract, but do you have a flyer that you give out when you advertise?

You could put it down on that, maybe, for the future.

FrannyandZooey · 13/10/2007 09:01

No it is a good idea

do you think I should ring them in a bit, anyway, and just say "look I have lost my voice but I will do my best?"

or just not panic them and just turn up and be very business like and say "oh dear, haha, luckily I have plan B"
