For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Oh bah humbug - habbibi's birthday tomorrow, and then her daddy's on Friday. I do believe that in itself is surely a get-out-of-bootcamp-free-and-eat-cake card. (One day in and crumbling already. How shameful.)

Ok - am in, but be gentle on me, Franny.

pinkspottywellies · 17/10/2007 20:19

Ready Ma'am! I went to the market today and got pears, apples, plums, pomegranite, bananas, swede, parsnips, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, tomato, etc (can't remember what else!) and I have cooking apples aplenty!

What was the hedge stuff? We have HUGE hedges at the front and back of our house. And DH is rubbish at cutting them so it's always me who does it - even when I was 7 months pg!

pinkspottywellies · 17/10/2007 20:21

Oh and leeks, which dd reached out for so I gave it to her and the lady in the bank laughed at the baby holding a leek She had a little chew as well but she didn't really like it!

FrannyandZooey · 17/10/2007 20:23

Habbibu you can always eat what you want on 10 / 10 - as long as you eat your f+v also. So enjoy cake but eat your greens.

PSW you are definitely ready! I love the leek waving baby

MegaLegs · 17/10/2007 20:25

LOL Franny, me, a crawler? Never.

FrannyandZooey · 17/10/2007 20:26

The hedge stuff was something superb Possum said. It was about healthy and respectful boundaries for our children being like a hedge, not like the Berlin wall. But she said it much better

FrannyandZooey · 17/10/2007 20:26
TooTicky · 17/10/2007 20:28

Blackberries, PSW? Where are you? They've gone all gucky around here

Now, about the meet-up T-shirts, do people want them or not? Obviously I have an interest so I won't express an opinion. Feel free to discuss it among yourselves while I take small people, and possibly myself, to bed. No pressure but if they are wanted, a little notice would be handy.

Night night - possibly...

TooT, did you see my fulsome and copious thanks?

TooTicky · 17/10/2007 20:34

100x did tell us about the birthday and the pie was an absolute success. Or did she tell me that in an email? She has emailed me. We are officially friends although I have yet to see her rubbery bits.

TooTicky · 17/10/2007 20:35

Glad you like it Franny

pinkspottywellies · 17/10/2007 20:40

I couldn't believe there were still blackberries TooT! Most of them were all shrivelled but there was one place left where they were huge and juicy and gorgeous

I would probably not want to have a T-shirt for the meet up. Thanks.

There's a photo up of dd and her leek

FrannyandZooey · 17/10/2007 20:58

Lovely photo!

Oh dear, t-shirts. I do quite want one but am not sure, if other people are not having them. Are you having one, TooT? Oh dear, I don't know.

Tatties · 17/10/2007 21:36

Lovely leek Pink

I would probably be up for doing t-shirts but everyone would need to do it to get the best effect wouldn't they? (Am also a bit iffy about having Tatties emblazoned across my tats )

Now, thread titles, I have been listening to Depeche Mode in an effort to get inspiration for a masterful bootcamp title - don't know if I've succeeded but here we go:

"Personal Peaches - Reach out and Touch Grapes"

"Exercise Counts in Large Amounts"

I'll get my coat shall I?

FrannyandZooey · 17/10/2007 22:14

LOL at Personal Peaches

oh dear

pinkspottywellies · 17/10/2007 22:28

Franny - have you dumped me on Sc&*()le? It's your turn!

Lullabyloo · 17/10/2007 22:45

I like the exercise one
