For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Carotte · 26/09/2007 19:57

did yuo run it while she was gone?

filthymindedvixen · 26/09/2007 20:02

Poor, poor Carrotte, this sounds very long-drawn-out and distressing and painful for you . I do hope you see some improvement soon.

Yes, Filly was/is lovely...

Dh is cooking a delightful thai veg curry which is very shocking as usually seems to think that because I only work part-time I am totally responsible for everything else. I had a little meltdown half hour ago, due to ds2 announcing at bedtime, he has forgotton to do his homework which was due in yesterday and it neccessitated cutting things out of newspapers. All my newspapers are now in the compost bin, so I had to beg one off a naighbour. Then we could find no scissors, because my ouse has descened into chaos because I was away for a whole 24 hours...
And ds1 declared he has worms So dh has been dispatched to chemist for Ovex (sigh). Bloody nail-biting children...

God I feel like an old malingerer, must be so boring hearing more about my mouldy breasts, I know at least 100x will be thinking just take the effing tablets. . I have never liked them much, perhaps they are exacting their revenge. I'm sure one of the sore bits looked like an eye earlier. Maybe it was delirium.

Carotte · 26/09/2007 20:11

We were visted by worms last year, FMV.

SauerKraut · 26/09/2007 20:15

Carotte, did you see my annoying insistence on the merits of spreading quark on them? Norks, that is, not worms.

3andnomore · 26/09/2007 20:20

lol SK...now I have this image in my head of people putting Quark on worms....shudder....

Banana Quark is gorgeous to eat, btw...it's also lovely with cherries...well, especially lovely if you also use some whipped cream, and use the kind of jarred cherries you get at Lidls...hmmm....and strawberry Quark...also yum

But yes, it is meant to be really good for things liek Mastitis, I have heard...
Carotte...really sorry your mastitis is so bad...it really does sound like absolute agony

SauerKraut · 26/09/2007 20:23

I jolly well didn't waste strawberry quark on mine! Although I'm sure dd3 would have preferred me to!

3andnomore · 26/09/2007 20:26

I mean,t you could also MAKE Fruit Quarks (Quarkspeise) with it...not you should waste it on your norks, lol...plain will do nicely for that

lionheart · 26/09/2007 20:30

Poor MrsC.

Quarks

Boco · 26/09/2007 20:30

Carotte, your poor poor tits

Boco · 26/09/2007 20:31

..or more like

womblingalong · 26/09/2007 20:33

or (.)(.) even

SauerKraut · 26/09/2007 20:35

It worked, anyway, plain or not, on a muslin square, wrapped round norks. It was a tip from a Swiss doctor, wish I'd known when I had it with dd2.

ahundredtimes · 26/09/2007 20:58

But what is it?

BBBee · 26/09/2007 20:59

semen I think.

ahundredtimes · 26/09/2007 20:59

Quark I mean, sorry.

Is it like borage? Way hay MrsC - you could have a Quark Omlette. And for the record, I adore you in every way and am not rolling my eyes and thinking take the abs, I am here to support you in whatever you chose to do. That is my job because erm, I am, erm, your, erm - grandmother? No, no, I am Anne.

BBBee · 26/09/2007 20:59

the swiss docotr took a shine to SK.

BBBee · 26/09/2007 21:00

oh sorry - that is a bit crude and rude - no offence SK!

ahundredtimes · 26/09/2007 21:01

lol.

Can you now ask for that to be deleted like you did before and then we have to have a new thread?

BBBee · 26/09/2007 21:03

is carrot here?

I have to tell her about soap - it is good soap.

SauerKraut · 26/09/2007 21:05

Me? Offended by crudeness?
Quark is fromage frais- I don't know if it's exactly the same but you can get quark in Lidl.

BBBee · 26/09/2007 21:08

Am I the only one who didn't clock that 3andno was not native english speaker?

SauerKraut · 26/09/2007 21:09

Shit, sorry, 3, have I blown your cover?
