For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 30/09/2007 23:30

I want to book the place for the meal, and then do clothes shopping and just generally mill about

am feeling like absentee parent - v bad - ds and dp were in London all day today while I swanned about here then went out for the evening. Tomorrow I am off all day. Do you think ds will remember me when i get back or just look blank and say "you remind me of someone I used to know"?

Morning Avi, how annoying.

I am bricking myself about the meet up now, are you all sure you wouldn't like to get someone sensible to organise it instead?

I did the reading with dds class this morning, and then hurried home for my 2 hours child free time when i could get some work done - had it all set up and ready - and realised i was locked out. I bought the paper and sat in a cafe for 2 hours until dp could let me in. Grrrrr. I ate tiffin and drank coffee. And now had to pack stuff away or dd2 will colour it in. So silly wasted morning. (although it was also kind of nice)

Hope Bees day goes well at new course thing.

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2007 12:59

I will put up a new picture of DS. In the kitchen, so there may be some fruit or vegetables in there.

I hope Franny is enjoying London. And that it isn't raining there like it is here.

Boco · 01/10/2007 12:59

Hello

Have you all forgotten missed me?

I neeeeeed to see everyone's pics again, and am also bricking myself about meet up. Have been AWOL< trying to get food into DS, so apologies for absence.

Have completely missed all the scrabble stuff too, but fear there are not enough hours in the day to devote to another puter obssession.

ah well, better get back to housework/shovelling food.

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2007 13:05

3 - was just looking at your profile and I love the book Daddy Long Legs. It's a book I read when I'm feeling a bit down - always makes me feel happy .

3andnomore · 01/10/2007 13:06

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2007 13:07

Boco - I did upload rather a lot onto facebook last night .

I espeically like DD in the woolly hat near the end. She walked in wearing it looking very pleased with herself .
