For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

haha - you had to go back quite a long way avi - and I know you are in the coffee group!

How's the head?

FrayedKnot · 26/09/2007 19:29

Exercise shy maybe but I don;t drink much coffee

The rwoing machine ahs had to be put away temprarily, you understand, as PILs coming at the weekend

F&V reserves are rather low in the FK household and as a lst resort we had tinned peaches for supper

Today has been challenging and tomorrow will probably be as well, as I worked all day today and tommorow I'm going to a meeting 2 hours away.

I have all meals planned and mostly in the freezer for the weekend though, including veg soups, casserole, blackberry & apple pie, and despatching DH to stock up on supplies tomorrow.

Then remembers this was something she used to do to complete strangers when going through first hippy phase at age of fourteen.

ahundredtimes · 26/09/2007 19:38

FMV - have emailed you. God, the brochure was hilarious. I enjoyed myself immensely.

Carotte · 26/09/2007 19:40

I thought it was 10 out of 10 too, but for eating ten, or something. I forget about the exercise. I usually run to school in the morning.

BBBee · 26/09/2007 19:41

how are you carrot?

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2007 19:43

LOL if you follow the link at the end of that thread Avi, to week 5 you can see where it all started to go, wrong, very wrong

Not so hot today but quite tired. I have large red patches on my breast lined with purple as the GP - I went after all this morning - said to draw round them and if it spreads take the tablets. I think she thought I was mad. It looks a bit like someones lip liner gone wrong.

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2007 19:46

I miss Filly

Sabotage.

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2007 19:49

she had terrible morning sickness and we talk about food on here all the time, she couldn't hack it

then MN as a whole really started to piss her off and offend and upset her

she has heightened sensibilities and has better things to do in RL

Thanks for LLL tip, Franny, I spoke to another lovely on and she said I can just phone her from now on. It was a relief to speak to someone kind and knowlegable.

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2007 19:52

Oh good oh GOOD

Filly disappeared once before do you remember? And it was 10 / 10 that lured her back [sigh]

I'd have to really pull the big guns out to get her back now

It's so funny thinking of 10/10 of old, what happened at the end of thread 5, and how long has it been going?
