For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

BBBee...I heart you ( I finally have a reason to say this on this thread...what with all the I heart[insert name] the other week)

Quark is Fromage Frais...although, oddly over here in the UK it is thought of as a type of cheese...but in my dictionary it says Fromage Frais=Quark....Lidls doesn't sell plain Quark...but Asda and Morrison et al do

But roflmfao...about Quark could be semen...how disturbing...I mean, seeing that I was talking about making BananaQuark and all that...shudder...

3andnomore · 26/09/2007 21:14

lol Sauerkraut...I think a lot of people were aware of it...I don't make it a secret or anything...lol...

lionheart · 26/09/2007 21:17

Flipping heck, BBB, I almost believed you for a second.

I need to get out more.

Boco · 26/09/2007 21:40

You know when people say they spray tea over their keyboards when they laugh, ...well i just actually really did spray hot chocolate, properly, everywhere - when 100 said that thing about being Carrottes grandmother. I couldn't help it. Oh 100 you'd be quite a lot like my grandmother was, very robust, emotionally, and very good at playing.

I'm going to watch Heroes. I'm enjoying Heroes, but i don't know what's going on.

AllGonePossum · 26/09/2007 21:49

Hello again, Madame Carotte, sorry to learn of your mammary woes. How old is your teeny DS? MY LO had ABS himself recently and was fine probably due to me giving him a good probiotic on my finger tip 3 times a day then moving on to sheep's milk yoghurt for breakfast. (doesn't have cow's milk yet) If you do need to take ABs it need not be the end of the world for your tiddler's digestion.

Does anyone know where I can source good quality solid timber reproduction 1930s doors?

Fruit & veg, hmm, awaiting the delivery of a new fridge so keep fruit & veggies cool outside, so far they've been blown around the garden in a mini tornado, washed away by torrential rain and now it's so damp and sploshy my resident slugs have taken to draping themselves over the fruit bowl, longingly waving their antennae (?horns? wavy things on top of a slug's head???). This latter development has really put me off sampling said fruit & veg.

On a brighter note, masses of plump juicy blackberries now at the bottom of the garden, largely because I have forgotten to prune or weed for months so the brambles have gone ballistic. Are blackberries a superfood? [hopeful emoticon]

FMV, glad Claridges was a blast, I too seem to remember a lot of time spent in the bath, just wallowing.

I am so glad you all continue to be slightly mad and deeply lovely in this alternative universe of 10/10. Carry on as you were....

Carotte · 26/09/2007 22:12

Possum - Thanks, he is 8 months now and I will get him some acidophollus if I have to take them. I'm glad your Lo likes sheeps milk, it's so usefull if they can have yoghurt.

Quark?? I have never heard of this and was thinking it sounded like something that could be sliced, maybe I'm imagining quince jelly. Fromage Frais, on my chest?? Do I just smother it on, or put a bit in a bra? How does it work. Is it true? Gosh I sound like BBBee. BBBee, what's this about soap?

3andnommore - I didn't know English wasn't your first language either!

100x - Ha. I would love you to be my grandmother, I am lacking in those and motherly figures in general though that may be too old for you. An Aunt perhaps. Aunt Anne? No that doesn't sound good does it...

BBBee · 26/09/2007 22:20

quince jelly - membrillo - I love it - quince cheese - oh it is so sublime - do you love it carrot? I make it - I can send you a slab to put in your bra.

Go to oxfam and in their gifts range there is geranium and rose soap - it smeels so very lovely and nice nad will make your poor hot boob baths more lovely.

Carotte · 26/09/2007 22:34

Quince cheese? Please don't send me that. Urrgh.

I thought you were going to say that soap blocks the ducts, that is a much nicer sopa message I will look out for it. Thanks.

ahundredtimes · 26/09/2007 22:43

How are they looking MrsC? Don't have a bath yet, because the felt tip will come off.

Carotte · 26/09/2007 22:52

I have had five baths today and it hasn't come off. That's a bit worrying actually isn't, what kind of ink is that?

Boco · 26/09/2007 22:54

Have you used laundry markers on your tits?

Carotte · 26/09/2007 22:55

It's a child's felt tip, a cheap one, probably toxic.

BBBee · 26/09/2007 23:26

oh poor poor carrot - do you have access to crying chocolate? Shall I buy you some and send it - I really think you might need it and I am going to brighton tomorrow.

BBBee · 26/09/2007 23:27

Carotte · 27/09/2007 10:28

BBBee - Thank you. I do have it in my local shop and I am also going through a non chocolate phase atm. I either eat half a large bar a night or none but thanks anyway.
I feel a little better today.

Franny - is it really tomorrow, that came quickly, you sound excited. My always gets swamped by dc's as they are within a couple of weeks of each other but this year people are pestering me to do something seen as I'm 21.

IdrisTheDragon · 27/09/2007 10:35

Hello .

Am supervising people revising for a test.

Luckily they are quietly doing this so I am sneaking on here .

I had fruit salad and fruit juice and muesli this morning .

IdrisTheDragon · 27/09/2007 10:37

Can I point out I am a new recruit but I never drink coffee. Although exercise shy is probably correct.

Carotte · 27/09/2007 10:42

What if they sneakily pass notes while you get hooked on Claire Verity thread?

What do you teach, Idris?

IdrisTheDragon · 27/09/2007 10:46

This week and next I am teaching baby accountants how to be grown up accountants.

Accounting this week, auditing next week.

I don't always do teaching - this is my exciting part.

Carotte · 27/09/2007 10:57

That's interesting. I quite like the idea of teaching but I'm not very good at talking to a room full of people, though I'm fine in a room full of people iyswim. I guess you get used to it.

IdrisTheDragon · 27/09/2007 12:00

Have finished my bit of invigilating. Ate Werthers originals .

I wonder what lunch will be....

3andnomore · 27/09/2007 13:28

Carotte...wow I fooled you and all, eh
As for the Quark compresse...get some Quark, and smear it onto a Muslin cloth, put onto the boobs, and hold in place with something like a tubigrip...or boobtube....

lol Idris...

As for f&v non at all so far...

TooTicky · 27/09/2007 13:32

Have walked about 6 miles so far today, two more later. Have shopped and delivered papers.
Feeling because I can't open the peanut butter. Am not good with jars.
Am quite shaky in a hungry-busy kind of way and still have bus crisis.
