For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

My children are being lovely today.

DS has a beautiful butterfly painted on his face. Coming off slightly now but still beautiful. Another girl waiting to have hers done suggested he could have Batman and he contmplated before saying "I don't really like Batman". I muchly heart DS.

FrannyandZooey · 22/09/2007 18:01

TooT I had a look in my wardrobe today for stuff that would fit you but there wasn't anything decent

(I don't fit half my own clothes at the moment)

I have noticed a seller on here doing big bundles of clothes for quite a good discount - about £30 for say 8 brand new tops for instance - here's one - I don't know if that would be any use to you?

FrannyandZooey · 22/09/2007 18:01

BBBee · 22/09/2007 18:11

phew - glad we all made it - oh no where's boco - do you think she fell?

I took dcs to film club at boho cinema - nice and retro it was. We saw peter pan and they sold wine, so I had a glass of white wine in the afternoon for lunch. Thye had cookies - it was fun.

2 apples
tomatoes
onion
greengages
orange juice
lentils

BBBee · 22/09/2007 18:12

why does Toot want clothes?

BBBee · 22/09/2007 18:14

oh franny - I got sent a flyer today:

"If you are between the age 8 & 13 and interested in all things that are wild and natural then come along to our wildlife group. We meet the first Sat of the month and in the following weeks will be doing the following: working with wood; going for walks; tracking animlas; pond dipping and lots more fun and games."

Hoorah - doesn;t it sound fab!

Hope bat walk is good - we love lvoe lveo them.

FrayedKnot · 22/09/2007 18:36

Bat walk sounds interesting

I am looking forward to DS getting a little older and being able to do things in the evenings sometimes..

Today I've had dried berry mix, greengages, grapes, small salad, celery, lentil shepherds pie with savoy cabbage (plus veggies in it)

I do note there has been little mention of exercise on this thread of late, apart from tatties

I have done 3 hours housework today so I count that

And lots of cooking

PILs are coming next weekend

Carotte · 22/09/2007 20:14

Avi - Your holiday sounds wonderful. I had forgotten you were going away and thought you might be bogged down with work. I am ENTP too, though I am a bit surprised as I wouldn't have me down as an inventor. I wanted to be an artisan. Oh well. Can you post photos of where you stayed?

Toot - lol at your scattering of t's to taste like pepper.

I have had aduki bean and endeme salad with carrot and beetroot. Blackberry and gooseberry smoothie, peach, grapes and I'm about to eat curry with a whole load of different veg.

Hello?

Had a great car boot sale today. I made £90! but ate chips

Still haven't made apple cake BBB but I did find self-raising wholemeal. They had it in the other Tescos small independent retailer

I have also never had booja booja. Sounds quite yummy. I am quite glad that I missed the scary cliff bit. It was quite a tense read [scared emoticon] I thought we'd lost you MrsC.

I had a nice time last night. Got back about 11 I think but dh wasn't very well so ate a bit then went and slept in the car It did feel a bit crazy being out soooo 'late'!! Oh how times change!

TooTicky · 22/09/2007 20:48

Thanks for the sparkles Franny. And for looking for clothes

Right, I'm aiming for an early night tonight.

Lots of love to you all

Carotte · 22/09/2007 20:52

It was tense, PSW, I was calling and calling and I thought I saw a flash of blonde in the woods but then Toot came running with a rope.

You are very brave doing a car boot. I always have so much stuff I could sell but then I get the fear and give it away to avoid stall/public/free ads/visitor scenarios. I'm glad you found the flour even if it was in an undesirable outlet. I might make apple cake too.

Night, Toot, and here, have a chocolate

OP posts:
FrayedKnot · 22/09/2007 20:56

£90 gosh! That's good!

The problem I have with car boots is the getting up early.

last year we did one that started at 11. Now why can;t they all be at a decent hour?

pinkspottywellies · 22/09/2007 20:57

I made my friend come to the car boot with me. She is much better at it than me. dh was so pleased with his £22 that he wants to leave the car loaded and do another one in the morning!! Might just sell everything as low prices as it takes. It's all stuff that's hung around for years and I'd rather have 10p for it than lug it home again !

pinkspottywellies · 22/09/2007 21:00

FK - mine started at 12. It's good as well because they let you in at 11.45 and you have a few minutes to set up before they let the public in. When I did one somewhere else before we had people practically unloading the car for us!

I like champagne too but I think hazelnut crunch are my favourite.

Does it not have a resize button in your mymnet photos then? I think I just typed in some arbitrary smaller size and it adjusted it.
