For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

The beetroots are good.

Talking of beetroots, dd2 did a beautiful pottyful of pink stuff the other day, post borshch-fest...

Carotte · 22/09/2007 13:27

did we not have that one quite recently, or one similar with that hymn anyway?

TooTicky · 22/09/2007 13:28

Oh I LIKE the veg and fruitiful.

Yes, the Levellers are fun. I am jealous of the fiddling though - I can only play sort of classically.

TooTicky · 22/09/2007 13:29

Rock of 'gages, cleft for me, let me hide my fruit in thee?

Tatties · 22/09/2007 13:29

All peaches great and small was recently suggested by FMV, I can't remember if it was used?

Tatties · 22/09/2007 13:30

Oooh TooT I like that!

Carotte · 22/09/2007 13:30

I can only sing sort of badly, well, appallingly.

The beetroot one then, tis good, although I still like the old Ask not for who the Kale curls, or something like that.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 13:31

Carotte · 22/09/2007 13:36

There's only one way of life, and that's 10/10, 10/10, 10/10??

Carotte · 22/09/2007 13:37

Gosh, I must choose then... da da da

I had forgotten he had eaten about 5 pickled beetroot the night before

Carotte · 22/09/2007 13:50
