For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

wodge ice cream into tin and out in freezer now, just before serve cake get it out and put it between the two (having already decorated one with smartie nonsense)

they will all be "Oh do you remember when DD's mummy made that ice-cream cake" in years to come.

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:37

Ice cream? It's a good idea, but it will melt won't it? We are not at home, we are in a hot, busy place where all the children can cry and throw themselves on the floor and hit each other.

Hello BBee. I missed you last night. Don't be dumpsy.

I like your personal responses. Is very 3andnomore. You need to put in some chuckles though.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:38

yes I am missing 3andnomore and thinkng I do not appreciate the lovely ladies on here enoguh and ignore them as my brain fudges everything together.

No ice cream thing won;t work.

Your dd is lovely.

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:40

Yes, and I am about to do ANOTHER horrible thing to her. Is all to do with ballet. I'm not sure I can share, as I feel so mean about it.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:40

and franny has gone to work and we have only 30 messages left - where is the filth? She is in some ponce hotel and no-one else can start a new thread and we shall lose each other for ever!

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:41

aren't horrible things supposed to be good for them or something?

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:42

Yes, she is in Claridges isn't she?

We must walk away from this thread and re-stack our dishwashers, while I wring my hands about the bad cake and the upcoming humiliation at the dancing thing.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 10:42

yes, a few lols and you'll be there BBBee. Thank you for asking aftr my breasts, they ar a lot better today. I didn't wince when he fed anyway.

100 - I don't think you should put cream in if she dosn't like it. DD has never eaten cream, hates milk/butter etc in fact she doesn't really like sponge cake that much she always has chocolate. Have you got time to do another one?

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:43

are you going to join her ballet class as a student?

I told DS I was going to start in his kung fu class as a joke and he looked like he as going to cry.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:44

Marshmallows!

they are high

put a layer of marshmallows in the middle - all pink and squodegy.

lionheart · 22/09/2007 10:44

"Think height, and granduer. Cakes are like shoes."

lol, MrsC (belatedly).

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:45

Oh and yes, the dd of woman who hates me is coming. AND there have been developments there too.

I said to her, 'why did you say that about my bag? I thought oh my god, she really hates me.' I was laughing but she didn't, she just looked a bit appalled - but not contrite if that makes sense - and said 'I forget to smile sometimes' and then she turned away again.

AND then that day dd had a card in her bag from her dd which said 'I love you 100x dd' and I said to my dd 'that's nice' and she did a sort of shoulder shruggy thing, and so now I think perhaps this is the root of the problem.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 10:45

dd was no good at ballet, she kept being a bee instead of a flower and stinging the flowers and jumping off the stage. She does drama now.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:47

ah - so there are DD based problems rather than bag based problems.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:47

carot am liking your DD - she has panache.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 10:47

Why don't you buy one sponge layer and insert it in between your two with jam and then ice the outside?

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:48

Oh god and thank you for your cake tips Carrotte. I loved them, I loved all the grace and air and poise of your post.

I am going to BUY A BLOODY CAKE, and I am going to do something marvellous with the biscuit cake for us on her actual birthday, on Tuesday.

The ballet thing is grim. Unbelievable grim. And is all my fault. Of course.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:49

but 100 your DD has so much cool and style I doubt you could ever really phase her could you?

Carotte · 22/09/2007 10:49

she does, BBBee, yes. She has just put on her tights and then stretched them up to her face saying she is a caterpillar, but a live one mummy, not like the one I boiled the other day that was wonky.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:50

oh yes your brocolli caaterpillar - I bet she wrote in her book at school that her mum sometimes bolis animlas alive and it makes her feel sad.

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:53

lol @ Carott boiling caterpillars.

Yes, my dd is rather cool and great. In fact I often think that all my dcs are much nicer to me than I am to them. This can't be right can it?

They clap when I park and say things like 'well done' 'you see you CAN do it after all' and ds1 is especially charming and says, 'now calm down, we can work this out.'

Oh dear. This kind of guilt isn't good for the birthday party day is it?

I think I love Carrot's dd. I do. I love the falling of the stage and doing drama instead.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 10:54

Hmm, probably. It was an empty creature, looked a bit like a whole yet deflated jalapeno on a pizza.

Yes, buy a cake, that is a good plan. A tall regal cake without cream. They had one with an orchid on yesterday in M and S.

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:55

In celebration of her birthday, I am going to put a photo of dd on my profile. And then you can all say how cool she is.

I don't have many photos on the laptop though, they are mostly on the main computer. I think there is one of her in a hat.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 10:56

Oooh yes please, we like a good photo.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 10:57

We will look for a relection of you in the mirror.
