For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I've gone to the apple thread, but it's all Cod and her shopping assistant seduction and people talking about boots.

IdrisTheDragon · 21/09/2007 23:25

There were some apple comments at the beginning. Also a banana or two.

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2007 23:27

and your problem is?

TooTicky · 21/09/2007 23:28

I'm glad about that Franny as my poem wasn't working. Franny kept wanting to rhyme with granny.

ahundredtimes · 21/09/2007 23:30

LOL. I like to see that everybody still has their priorities properly sorted out.

How MrsC? How her tits?

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2007 23:32

Bit wonky still

she sent us all to the Carrotomat earlier for bad behaviour

ahundredtimes · 21/09/2007 23:32

OK. I shall say goodnight again. I'm going to get up at 6.00 and make two more cakes, I am, I am, I am.

ahundredtimes · 21/09/2007 23:33

Oh sorry, x-post.

Poor her. She should get Abs and be done with it. Tell her Anne said so.

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2007 23:33

Hope the cakes are lovely. I think if you piled whipped cream and something like blueberries on they would be fine as they are, perhaps?

ahundredtimes · 21/09/2007 23:34

Yes, I am considering that RIGHT NOW. I am telling myself that if I really piled masses of whipped cream and jam in there, it would be absolutely fine. But honestly, they are TINY.

Also, can whipped cream survive an hour and a half out of a fridge? Can it?

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2007 23:46

ooh yes, definitely

ahundredtimes · 21/09/2007 23:50

Oh good, thank you. I have done quite good hovering and judging sheer amount of whipped cream needed - about 3 pints - I'm going to do that then.

Hurrah.

You are all so nice. I formally apologise for barging in and talking about myself in such a ruthless manner.

I've quite missed bowing.

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2007 23:53

ooh everyone has been bowing beautifully without you 100

you have taught us well

pinkspottywellies · 22/09/2007 00:30

HI 100x!!!!!!!

Went out for lovely curry. very little veg - mango chutney and tomato in balti sauce but twas yummy dd went down so easily that her auntie babysitter couldn't believe it. She's such a lovely girl [proud mummy]

Might be doing a car boot sale tomorrow. Doesn't start till 12 so don't have to leave at too ridiculous an hour!

Night all. Very tired now so post might not make sense!

pinkspottywellies · 22/09/2007 08:09

Ooh! Look at me - last one to bed and first up! Morning all. Had plums for breakfast. Now going to pack up for car boot sale and probably have a greasy bacon sandwich for lunch! Yuk!

Carotte · 22/09/2007 08:23

Well, you all had a bit of a party last night didn't you, crowding round 100x's aga and admiring the cakes. I will come this morning, 100x, and perch on the breakfast bar for a light airy chat and you can give me ab's and a coffee. Then I will fall off the chair as I haven't drunk it for 2 years.

I am afraid I am much more stern about cakes. I would pile the biscuit cake in a tub to munch with tea and quick as a flash whip up another sponge. It's easy. Be light with your hand for the flour and beat in the eggs bit by bit. They will puff up beautifully. Alternatively, do double amounts, then they will at least be fat biscuits. Think height, and granduer. Cakes are like shoes.

My ds is a big rugby fan, I am sure they would get on. He could teach my ds chess and H could teach him rubgy trivia from the last century.

Toot - I feel very sad for your dd that is truly horrible. Sadly I can identify as I have been one of the mean girls in the past, but worse, we used to call for a girl and smile at her mum then duff her up in the garages. Not badly, but it was very cruel. I have apologised to her as an adult. She wasn't very gracious unsurprisingly. I think I was a nice child in most respects. That was a short period in with a bad crowd. I think your dd should stay away from her if she inspires such behaviour. Can't you move nearer the nice school where the nice people are? I know you can't really, I just don't have a suggestion. Are the other children the sort to go around on a unicycle, as wonderful as it sounds, could that be the sort of thing that makes her different if they all ride the average Halfords girls bike? I will try to think further.

PSW - You got in late did you have fun? Amazing how one's concept of late changes isn't it. Once upon a time I would have gone out then.

Aviatrix - I am missing you on here. Come in for breaks, you will get skull fuzz.

Carotte · 22/09/2007 08:24

You were not the first one up, PSW, I was just writing A Very Long Message.

Tatties · 22/09/2007 08:43

Morning! I'm up early too The boys have gone out and I have some peace

FrannyandZooey · 22/09/2007 08:54

I am going to work. Have eaten apple, raisins, melon, plums.

Carotte that was brave of you to apologise.

IdrisTheDragon · 22/09/2007 09:02

Morning .

DH got back Very Late last night. I am being nice wife and letting him have a nice long lie in. DS, DD and I are going out to a nearly new sale in a bit.

Apple juice. Will consume a bit more soon.

Hope the cake rises 100x and that the party is lovely .

Tatties · 22/09/2007 09:05

That is very considerate of you Idris. I never let dp have a lie in [evil]

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:32

I was quite mean to a girl when I was about 14. I was at boarding school, and I think I made her life miserable. I did have a fit of conscience though after a bit, and I apologised to her too, and then went to the other extreme, and was overly attentive. She must have hated me both ways.

Cake update: so I was explaining to dd this morning that I had purposefully made them so small, so we could have lots of whipped cream and jam in between. And she said, very politely and not in a spoilt way, 'that's lovely mummy, but you know, I don't really like cream do I?' And she doesn't. Then she said, 'but that doesn't matter, I'm sure my friends do.'

I am undeserving of this child. And I am a bad cook.

There is a Woodcraft Group in Bath TooTs if that is closer. Is run my ds2's OT at the hospital. He is charming. Do you want email addresses?

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:33

good morning lovely lovelies

I missed 100 last night which is a shame. I hope the biscuit smartie things worked wonders.

PSW - did you make the apple cake? I have to know beyiond reason - god things are bad if you are loading the dishwasher and wondering if someone you have never met has made an apple cake.

Idris - how are you today - you must be feeling nice having had the little party thing yesterday and you have a tidish house. I sometimes ask people round solely because I know it will make me clear up.

caroot - how are the breasts today? we talk about your breasts alot - maybe we are all big hairy men with hard cocktail sausages thinking about your breasts.

tatties - how dd today? I didn;t like the door story - I hate things like that.

I think avi is in france isn;t she?

frnny - work - not the pub job so what I wonder.

BocoMcCloco - did you do your work?

I am feeling a bit dumpsy - can it be pmt already?

Suggest things I can do to cheer myself up.

BBBee · 22/09/2007 10:35

100 - do an ice cream layer - they will love it. Wodge a load of ice cream into one of the cake tins and have a layer of that.#

it will be fab - not in party bags obviously.

Is daughter of chloe hating bag coming?

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2007 10:35

I mean the man who runs the group works as an OT at the hospital - NOT that the woodcraft group is held at the hospital. That would be weird, and possibly unhygenic.
