For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

I don't think there are very many boots in the shops yet are there? Catfish often has good Camper ones. Did you try Schuh, House of Fraser, Imelda's?

TooTicky · 08/09/2007 22:33

It was honey with walnuts in you see so I thought I'd add them, but it was odd. And there was far too much honey. Oh well.

I think I'm about to have a footwear crisis. I have nothing I canm stand to wear that isn't a sandal, but soon it will get cold.
And I'm sure I'm due a visit from the trouser fairy. She could take all my old, badly fitting, holey, annoying ones and leave me some I actually like. And none of them will have low * waists.

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 22:36

I have never seen honey with walnuts in it?

Avi - Have you never gone out for dinner or to the cinema? Do you think he will while while you're gone pr is it a lack of decent babysitting?

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 22:36

No, it's not for ever I suppose. We went out in Edinburgh for an early meal, then when Lo woke up he sat with ds1 till we got home so he was quite happy.

You know, when ds1 was 2 1/2, I went to Thailand for nearly a month travelling about. I was young I guess, and he was with dh, but still, I can't imagine doing that now. I remember everyone laughing at me on the overcrowded boat to the full moon party as I was the only one wearing a life jacket but I was like, I am a mother you know? Not a very good one at that point maybe.

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 22:50

LOL at you worrying about your bedding. Night Avi.

FrannyandZooey · 08/09/2007 23:27

Avi, ds was the same. I didn't go out in the evening for years, and then when I was finally desperate enough to attempt it (friend booked Chumbawamba to play at his 30th) I got to stay for half the evening and then got summoned home as ds inconsolable (well, miserable and stroppy enough to fool dp, anyway). It was almost worse having got to enjoy half of it and then have to leave, somehow.

Agree 3 and a bit will be much easier. You can do bribes and all sorts

God, I hate honey. And walnuts. And, if I'm honest, tahini.
