For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Happy Birthday Idris

Boe-coe - I knew! (I have had 15 years concurrently of bloody train obession with my 2 boys. Sigh. And dinosaurs. And Pokemon. And Dr Who. And now Lego. My boys are complete geeks)

I heart TnOgu too. But I never see her much on here these days...I heart BBB as well (she was very kind to me when I angst ridden amd incognito once. And now I am her slave)

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 10:22

Of course it's Boe-coe. Duh! Bock-o?? Ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha, ha ha haha....

My Thai was very hot. I am putting off going to the loo. Is that TMI?

I am also bored of being MrsCarrot again. Is this like when people change the furniture it means they are disatisfied with something? Hmm. Can I just change the end bit and then I will remain MrsC, like, Mrscuntingmango? Not that obviously but you get the jist.

Don't think I can bear the scathing 'carrot person thingy' I got when I lost the Mrs before.

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 10:32

Happy Birthday Idris

filthymindedvixen · 08/09/2007 10:43

oh, just to add I had a good 10/10 day yesterday. Huge amounts of homegrown rasps and blackberries. Hummous, salad and grate carrots and apple sarnie for lunch. And huge chickpea, spincahc, sweet pot, onion, green beans, mushrooms and pepper curry thingy with veg samosas for dinner. And 4 hours on the allotment followed by 2-mile walk.

Today my exercise will mainly come from dismantling a single bed and replacing it with a cabin bed (which we have to assemble) Eeeek!

DollyPopsOut · 08/09/2007 10:50

Am suffering deeply here. No f and v yet. We had friends over last night which was both late and drunken. Am feeling very delicate as a result. May try a bracing walk later to clear head.

Why does that extra glass of wine seem like such a good idea at the time?

ahundredtimes · 08/09/2007 11:27

Am hungover. Friends bought organic champagne with them - didn't taste that good but I drank masses of it and how have a mother of a headache.

MrsC - why not just Carrot? I think that's cool but I have a hangover so don't listen to me.

Am meant to go out tonight too.

TT - I shall be the pale cross one in sunglasses.

filthymindedvixen · 08/09/2007 11:32

Ah. I always harboured a vague hope that organic booze might not produce hangovers on account of being purer. Another great theory bites the dust...

ahundredtimes · 08/09/2007 11:36

I have a very pure hangover Filthy, if that helps at all.

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 11:41

I don't buy that organic means no headache business. Organic prossecco always gives me a headache.

If I am carrot, 100x, franny will call me carrot person thingy

ahundredtimes · 08/09/2007 11:49

Well, can't we just ask her not to?

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 12:10

We could...

Not sure I want to be defined by my Mrs status, it was only for my wedding anyway. I always think it makes me seem older and rounder than I am.

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 12:11

a round long carrot

Boco · 08/09/2007 12:13

100x i emailed you - were you planning to say 'You need to re-think your entire life, I am annoyed by all your decisions to date.?'

Going to Norwich for the afternoon - MrsC now i know what you look like i can spot you if you're in town. The girls are choosing me a birthday present. dd1 wants to buy a bracelet, and dd2 wants to choose something that is the colour of green. So i get to have an hour to myself which is very nice.

Boco · 08/09/2007 12:14

I think it does too MrsC, i imagined that you'd be wearing a floury apron and have a buxom cleavage and ruddy cheeks - based on your name. You look very young and not very Missussy - in a good way.

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 12:35

Oooh, I am going into town too!

If I see you I shall try not to shout Boco too loudly.

Good thing I noew how to pronounce your name, you may not have responded.

FrannyandZooey · 08/09/2007 12:37

Oh bother I LOVE the name MrsCarrot. And I have very strong ideas about names as you know . I think you should either stay as MrsCarrot, or change to MrsCuntingMango which would also be marvellous.

You must do what you want, of course, but it is extremely unlikely that I won't get petulant about it and call you carrot person thingy. Sorry.

Boco · 08/09/2007 12:38

I'm wearing jeans and a flowery top and a turquoise cardigan and have my hair in a bun. I promise not to shout 'carrot person type thing!' at you.

FrannyandZooey · 08/09/2007 12:38

I think MrsCarrot sounds friendly and amusing and a bit arty and also healthy and delicious. And slightly bohemian. Just slightly.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 08/09/2007 12:39

Boco have you got long hair??

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 08/09/2007 12:46

[stunned] Boco has long hair

that can't be right

OP posts:
Boco · 08/09/2007 12:51

Is that surprising? It is quite long, below shoulder length, too thick and quite wavy. DD1 took a picture of the back of my head last week, i'll put it on my profile.

I imagine you have long hair franny? I can't imagine you'd have short hair.

FrannyandZooey · 08/09/2007 13:00

Yes I know everyone always guesses I have long dark / red wavy hair

(they are wrong )

I just thought you had shortish hair, definitely. I am trying to think what style it would be.

OP posts:
Boco · 08/09/2007 13:03

No i imagine you with light brown long hair. I imagine filthy with long black hair.

FrannyandZooey · 08/09/2007 13:06

I scanned that line v quickly and thought it said I imagine you with long light brown filthy hair, which was a bit too close to the truth

I help my hair along a bit. It has forgotten the colour it is meant to be, these days.
