For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I also worried about all the very very young eastern european waitresses in the basement (which is where the restaurant bit was) - where do they live?

I saw Sonia from Eastenders, she was the only other person in a shop, she was pretty and small in real life, i stared at her with delight because i thought i knew her at first. She smiled and moved away fast.

How about Praise the Gourd. I like the word gourd.

I sent you a message on MyFace Bee.

did you write it on your face in red brio hoping I would bump into you? Seems like you have picked up too many fancy london ways.

That reminds me of going to an eastenders fancy dress party as dot cotton and drawing on wrinkles with a black biro. It was very convincing.

in what world do people have eastenders fancy dress parties?

I made a piue - a real pie. I know that many of you are probably knocking them out on a daily basis but this was my first real pie.

I made pastry
I picked apples
I made leaves for the top

and it wasn't disgusting.

AND fz says it counts as a portion.

I rock.

do chocolate raisins count?

I bought the stuff for LL creamed rice - think will make it for breakfast tomorrow. DD are loads of the dried apricots and her belly stuck out and she moaned all though child of our time.

Bee you're clutching at straws. Does straw count?

Report
BBBee · 02/09/2007 23:15

but if I ate a handful of raisins that would count - then I could have eaten an extra bar of chocolate it's just that the chocolate happened to be around the raisins.

Anywya you are just cross because you have to eat 18 portions a day this week to counteract all the pollution you picked up in London - it is in the guidleines.

I had 27 portions - all consumed at the breakfast buffet. It was awesome. Huge bowls of fruit salad and grapefruit and orange and tinned apricots and apples and stuff like that - you get the idea. I ate so much fruit i had to have afternoon naps to digest it all. I'm winning. I bet you sucked off the chocolate and spat the raisins out the window.
