For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Tranquila · 20/08/2007 18:06

youre all called Dave.

you can call me Mrs McCave. Doris to my friends.

Boco · 20/08/2007 18:08

I thought guadalupe sounded exotic and mysterious. Not clumpy.

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2007 18:10

Oh Possum for vege jelly try Holland and Barrett or large supermarket, or Co-op. There are two sorts - one with flavour and sweetener already in, and one that is more like a vege gelatin which you can add to fruit juice to make a sweet jelly, or use in place of gelatin in savoury recipes

You know, my mother kept on pick pick pick pick pick and then she POKED MY MANGO. What cause is there for that kind of behaviour? To go into another woman's kitchen and poke her mango and make a little face. I bet there will be a bruise there now where she poked it. And it was ripening up beautifully

I think it's the g and the d, Boco, has a resonance of Gertrude to it

Tranquila · 20/08/2007 18:12

she sounds bloody awful francoise (thats her real name, you daft lot). you should extract revenge of some sort.

Tatties · 20/08/2007 18:12

Tranquila · 20/08/2007 18:26

Boco's first name is Bo. obviously, Co is her surname. do you live in a lagoon, Ms Bo?

filthymindedvixen · 20/08/2007 18:32

hello, I'm back, did anyone miss me??

After a week of camping-crap-food and festival hedonism I have just come from the supermarket armed with enough greenery and shubbery to keep us all going for a week.

I have tried. I bought some grapes and melon at some point this week...but mainly, it's been noodles, and cider

how is everyone? Forgive me if I don't read the whole thread, i houldn't even be here now

lionheart · 20/08/2007 18:46

Hey ho, FMV, welcome back.

Apple, nectarine, cuc, peppers, lettuce so far -- about five or six but there is still time before lights out.

(I am pondering just how much easier my life would have been had I been called Rebecca or Katy, or Sam or even Clementine).

Boco · 20/08/2007 18:48

Yes i do Topaz. Lucky it has internet access really. I don't get off with my brother or anything though. Are we thinking of the same film?

Welcome home FMV. I think FMVs real name is...Seaspirit-Ciderelle

Greensleeves · 20/08/2007 18:48

Hi FMV , which festival was it? You jammy bugger

Boco · 20/08/2007 18:49

I'd love to be called Clementine or Guadalupe. So juicy and colourful.

BBBee · 20/08/2007 18:51

Hey FMV - we had your thread name last week and you were away - and someone said it was rubbish - the bastard.

FMV - real name?? Fiona?

Be nice to me - my son has just 'spilt' water all over the biscuits I made for the friend in Edinburgh - all that effort and 4oz of the lovley parmasan someone bought me back from Italy. I love him of course but he can be so mindless at times. Grr.

BBBee · 20/08/2007 18:52

I love 'Guadalupe' so elegant and nice.

BBBee · 20/08/2007 18:53

BTW earlier when I said I was having Chicken tonight I meant I was making chicken to have tongiht - not the 'I feel like chicken tonight' variety.

Boco - asre you limiting your screen time or shutting one eye or wearing a patch like a pirate?

Boco · 20/08/2007 19:02

Thanks for clearing that up Roger. Sorry to hear about the biscuits - but at least you have the cast of your foot as a fall back.

I have an eye patch, sitting here in my lagoon.

MrsCarrot · 20/08/2007 19:08

well, I'm glad everyone else loves my name I guess it's a lot more exotic than my real one. I have thought of changing that too recently but I have been told emphatically by friends that normal people don't do that. Perhaps it's being on here, being able to change the name so easily.

Did you say anything, Boco?

FMV!! You're back, hurray, was it exciting, did you have perry, smoke loads and generally have fun?

MrsCarrot · 20/08/2007 19:09

I remember that film, blue lagoon, I think I was about 13 at the time. I was simultaneously fascinated and appalled at the girl giving birth under the tree, in fact, I think I even thought of that scene briefly in labour.

BBBee · 20/08/2007 19:11

i changed my nake by deed poll - was amazingly easy - scarily easy infact - I googled it and did it all online. Just imagine the damage you could do going online having had one too many and name changing but for real!

lionheart · 20/08/2007 19:11

I have a stronger recall of the masturbation scene.

BBBee · 20/08/2007 19:11

'name' not 'nake'
