For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes, Boco is tempting. I'll give you that.

TooTicky · 26/08/2007 00:11

Look 100x, dd1, dd2 and I will be in Bath next week. I'll let you know where we will be at a certain time and you can walk past and inspect us, and if we don't look too scary you can say hello, and before you know it you'll be designing your own meet-up T-shirt

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:12

oh she'll come for Boco

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:13

Oh gawd that sounds fun. Do you mean I don't HAVE to make myself known? I can just stare?

You'll know me because I will giggle and hoot.

But you see TooT what if i don't. Because I'm overwhelmed with how weird it all is? What then? You'll think I took one look at you and legged it, and that wouldn't be nice. When really I was just sitting there chewing my fingers and smiling.

God. I'm being high-maintenance. Sorry. Am tired.

Cod told me NEVER to do meet-ups. She ordered it.

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:15

100 I agree with cod

but this is not a meet up

this is a gathering

a gathering of friends [wide eyed smile]

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:15

Franny, I'd come for you. You know I would. You also knew Boco was a lure, a decoy, when really YOU are the pull, but you're too modest to say it.

Oh god. Will you all spill on what happened when you come back? I think everything will change if you do this.

TooTicky · 26/08/2007 00:15

I will look around in a nonchalant but kindly way until I spot you

NotReallyHerePossum · 26/08/2007 00:17

a 'gathering' suggests some sort of coven, where you all huddle round and crochet lima beans and cackle
And eat crying chocolate.

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:18

If anyone is interested, the mouse wants to go from the sofa back to its hole by the dishwasher. This is obvious, but it's little timid runs. This mouse is like me about a meet-up.

I have blocked its hole with Hermione Lee's book on Virginia Woolf. This is a mistake isn't it? It needs to go back. I'm going to move it, stop stamping and see if it can run back.

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:18

SSSHHHH

I said not to talk about the details on here

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:19

100 is the mouse a Woolf fan? You have literary rodents?

OP posts:
TooTicky · 26/08/2007 00:20

I am normally small and scared but it is strangely exhilarating when somebody nicks my role and I have to become Cheery and Encouraging instead.

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:21

No, it hates it. I think it might cry. I have moved the book. Its hole is now free. I don't know why I blocked it. I thought more might appear and spread like a moving carpet across my kitchen floor shouting 'this is mine' 'I'm living on this bit' 'oi who put the sleeping boy in MY bed.'

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:22

I think I might cry when I read Virginia Woolf. I think I like your mouse, 100

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:22

LOL TooT

You are a T-Shirt Organiser TooT and a Potential Warm-Up Exercise in Milsom Street.

You have become central to the project.

NotReallyHerePossum · 26/08/2007 00:24

can't you get humane traps where you collect it in a little box then remove it to somewhere where it can be happy, like a posh hotel for mice, maybe with en suite and bidet, fluffy towels and a chocolate on the pillow?

BBBee · 26/08/2007 00:24

"we demand the finest vegetables known to humanity, we want them here and we want them now."

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:25

How do you collect it though? I wish it'd go back to it's hole. It just made a weird scrabbling sort of noise by the sofa. I fear for ds2s safety.

NotReallyHerePossum · 26/08/2007 00:26

and slippers, special hand knitted teeny tiny slipper for mice, under the posh hotel bed.
I often think that mice must have cold feet. They run so fast, it's as if they're thinking, "blimey it's freezing on this floor".

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:26

Oh BBB I love it

perfect

there's not much of this thread left, will you leave a little bit for me in the morning so that I can link to the new thread please?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:27

just googled

it is "available to humanity"

otherwise I will use it just like that

OP posts:
TooTicky · 26/08/2007 00:29

Which one's Milsom Street? We get off the bus by Pulteney Bridge and after that I navigate by shops - One Small Step One Giant Leap, Arcania, Lush, Harvest, Tridias, occasionally M&S.
I may take the dd's to Demuths to celebrate the school decision and dd1's up and coming birthday. We will not be telling the male members of the household

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:30

I love it too BB.

Did i say I'd been up since 3.30? Did I? And now I'm being held captive by a mouse.

Okay. I must go to bed. I'm going to put on dh's big boots, here by the table, and make a crazy lunge for ds2, tripping over the boots (dh is over a foot taller than me and so are his feet) and drag ds2 up the stairs.

goodnight.

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:31

Possum are you still around? A couple of people are wondering if you are coming to the meet up. Do you fancy it? Shall I email you with the details?
