For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I'm off too. Night all

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:32

Oh TooT, sorry didn't see your post. Am not ignoring you. I like your shopping list. I like the shoe shop and Harvest, but it makes me a bit tired.

Milsom Street runs down from George Street, erm, Waterstones, Gap, Hobbs, Paperchase. No shop you'd go to I think.

TooTicky · 26/08/2007 00:34

Harvest makes you tired? Mind you, if I lived in Bath, I'd go there every day for one of their delightful filled rolls.

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:35

I like that cheese shop mind. Just up the road from it. Have you been in there?

ahundredtimes · 26/08/2007 00:37

Oh dear no, you probably don't eat cheese. Do vegans eat cheese? I don't know anything.

I'm thinking about cheese because of the mouse.

TooTicky · 26/08/2007 00:39

No, no cheese. What about the shop with the moomin things? Tempting but expensive and it's the sort of shop one feels conspicuous in.

TooTicky · 26/08/2007 00:41

Right, I really am going to bed now. Dcs will be up in 6 or 7 hours.

FrannyandZooey · 26/08/2007 00:45

So will mine. But I shall not.

I bought a friend a Hattifattener lamp for Christmas. I wish i had got myself one at the same time

I was given a colour-changing moomin

TooTicky · 26/08/2007 10:00

I am eating muesli with apple and peach.
I need to plan my week as I have lots to do and not so many days.

A sofa in your kitchen 100x My kitchen is teeny-tiny. Barely enough space for food and pans but we loved the house so we had to give up our dream of a big side by side american style fridge freezer

what about your babies?i feel in your passionate desires to keep fit and terror of losing bodies beautiful, you are not considering that meanwhile your babies have fragile little spines, necks and heads which could be seriously harmed by being shoogled, banged and bumped about. What makes you think babies want to spend their time being bawled at by your fitness sergeant major. My friend and i were horrified and deeply disturbed today when we came across a buggy bootcamp in the damp dark tunnel at colinton today.the instructor's booming orders were frightening enough to us, let alone the babies, many who were crying.Of all the beautiful walks and places you can share with your babies, all the fun and gentleness, security and places to play you can explore-why oh why choose dank tunnels on bumpy ground .have you considered that such an overiding obsession with bums and tums that drives you in hordes to race up and down, may actually be very unhealthy for you and your babies?healthy spines are crucial to babies development, their brains are vulnerable.I am sure you all love your babies but have you considered that this could cause the babies little brains to shake?i feel sad for you mums, this could be such a very special time of different rhythms, shared times of tenderness of slowing down of tuning into to your babies beautiful songs of love for you.I'm sure they adore your lumps and bumps and care more about cuddles and chuckles and looking into your eyes, you gang of beloved mamas than how "fit"or how toned you are. Each of you has a baby that changes every day, treasure your very own unique moments of joy together nourishing that bond.Cherish every little bone in their bodies, please rethink why are you putting you and your babies through this?why bootcamp?celebrate being soft beautiful mamas, you don't need this obsessive bum and tum narcissism and tv celebrity copycatting. You are the star of perfection for your babies already. Who's yelling do you respond to with most joy-your baby's or your bossy bootcamp leader .In whose eyes are you shining?please stop and think.I am sure you all have good intentions-and also spare a moment for your own spines and pelvic muscles which can tear easily after chidlbirth. How you feel inside is far more important than how you look outside. Our children need to learn how to relax and be loved for who they are-are you teaching them this by all this frantic activity, have you time to bond with them,be still with them, feel their wondrous little hearts beating, take time to gaze at the sky like they do?
Please.Take time for exercises of the heart.
