Jerusalem (artichoke) - And Did Those Beet In Ancient Times - 10 / 10 club - TITLE BY GREENY

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh just noticed your HP name boco - I like it!

TheChamberofCarrots · 16/07/2007 22:32

It is indeed a hall sized middle bit, we hung up a chandelier, and we had three bedrooms

BocoBeak · 16/07/2007 22:33

What happened here? I was only gone a few days, could't you have all just eaten fruit and vegetables like it says in the contract?

FirenzeandZooey · 16/07/2007 22:34

I used to like cashew nut butter but don't buy it any more as dd2 appears to be allergic to it.

Gorgeous lentil and lots of veg soup. Nectarines. Gooseberries.

Just getting over extreme at dp who gave squirty-bottomed ds2 White Nestle Chocolate while I was out. Fgs. I had weathered screams and been firm with regard to only good food for poorly tummies, and for what??!!!

DollyPopsOut · 16/07/2007 22:48

Just checking in.... had salad with beans, toms, cucumber, olives, onions, rocket for lunch. Roasted toms for supper. Oh, and wine.

First day of 10/10 went well...apart from a few leftover hob nobs. When do you think i'll start to feel the benefits?

HI everyone again

Cali - oh no. Can you drink balck tea?

Boco - good festival work

CC - yes you are CC

F&Z - you are funnny

I have been to my book group and our bok is hte red tent. I went round to my friend's house and picked up my jam - it is cool jam - anyone want to make jam ask me. It was easy. I have to look after her allotment for three weeks whilst she is in Italy so plan to eat it and blow your minds with my huge F&V intake.

Night!

FirenzeandZooey · 17/07/2007 08:41

woohooo

I have eaten peaches, grapes (red and white), raisins, and blueberries

mango our neighbours gave us smell funny. REALLY funny. Ds said he liked them and wanted some in his breakfast but then didn't eat them. I am scrubbing hands and veg board to try to remove the smell, or the IDEA of the smell

OP posts:
BocoBeak · 17/07/2007 09:43

mangos can smell odd, bit like mildewy knickers.

My driving instructor just cancelled for the 14th time. I'm beginning to think he hates trying to teach me, he's always saying he 'doesn't feel too good' at the last minute. I need to find a sturdier instructor.

BocoBeak · 17/07/2007 09:44

Walking dd to school i thought of a title - how about 'My artichokes for you'. Do you get it? Like my heart it chokes for you...

hmm. Seemed hilarious when i thought of it. Might have to leave the punning to greensleeves.
