For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Dyed the bunny?
How, pray?

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 23:02

Oh, and has anybody here been to the Ragged Hedge Fair? My thread hasn't had much attention

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:03

I was trying to make the bunny's life more interesting in a natural treasure basket kind of way.

The ball was made of jigsaw pieces that you glue together and each side was a different colour.

The bunny loved the ball, pushed it round and round (just like the lady in the pet shop said). But then rain came.

The dye in the wood ran and the bunny is now red, blue, green and yellow.

It's name is supposed to be Snow Drop, fgs!

Any advice (apart from rename the bunny)?

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 23:06

Sorry, too busy laughing to think of anything!

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:13

The fair looks good .

Too far for me, though.

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 23:16

Ah yes, the bunny. Dp suggested you rename it Elmer.
A gentle wash then leave to bleach naturally in the sunshine? How long have you got?

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:19

Until the end of the month. Do I have to pick it up to wash it, do you think? I can't turn the sprinkler on or something?

I'm not good with pets.

Elmer bunny indeed!

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:20

Wouldn't be right to bleach it, I suppose?

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 23:22

It would have to be warm water, and it mustn't get a chill afterwards. I think you'll have to pick it up. Still, it's probably better than bathing a chicken...

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:25

See, this is why I have a no pet household (aside from an ant farm).

Are you supposed to wrap the bunny in a towel afterwards? Or cuddle it? Or just make sure it can sit in the sun?

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 23:27

Yes, cuddle it in a towel and don't let it near any breezes until it is completely dry. And don't do it in the evening.
Any bunny parlours near you?

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:28

I looked at the chickens, btw, TooT, you're right, the feathers are a lovely colour and texture. Nothing artificial about them.

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:28

Bunny parlours? Are you serious?

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 23:32

Oh, they probably exist somewhere.

Hey, my friend has just had a baby! I'm so chuffed! We have been friends since we were 11. Little girl. Whooppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:39

Yee-hah!

!!!!!!!

lionheart · 22/07/2007 23:43

Congratulations.

Thanks for your advice, TooT, I will try bunny washing tomorrow (after I have had a word or two with the pet shop lady).

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 23:44

Ooh, now I've got that almost broody feeling. Must stop! I have 4 dcs.

pinkspottywellies · 23/07/2007 08:30

No, wait! Stop! I like HP and the Deathly Marrows!! I was at MILs yesterday then I had to watch the recorded Formula 1 from the afternoon and I couldn't come on because it was really long because of rain and crashes. It looks like I missed a heck of an evening- pagan ceremonies, naked jam making, dyed bunny, new baby and new title!
I've been up since 5 with dd so I'm hoping she'll go to sleep now and I'm going back to bed too!

Papillon · 23/07/2007 08:36

More fruit and vege today for me been abit lax - quite afew persimons and I seem to have developed a taste for raw swede. Have one in the fruit bowl and I cut slices off and walk off nibbling...
