For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

LL, your balls sound interesting.
Will look out for the circus. We went to a circus for ds1's 3rd birthday (when he was seriously into clowns) and it was v. disappointing.
Oh, and we are (I am!) nearly there with the playmobil. I have dredged ds1's floor and the underside of his bed and have found lots of bits. Now just need to make sense of them Are you interested in a sort of desert island within a treasure chest with pirates and stuff?

fmv, why are you dispirited?

Haven't eaten all that much today, but I have achieved things.

FirenzeandZooey · 22/07/2007 22:49

Your friends will ostracise you for not eating meat?

Franny still wearing her Santa hat, I see.

Have had grapes, apple, banana, mange tout, carrots, strawberries, banana.

Chickens are well but I have accidentally dyed the bunny (also in my guardianship).

Is it possible to give a bunny a bath (not in a Fatal Attraction way)?

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 22:56

Oh, do I have to make them sound impressive? Okay...
Took dcs to archaeology day at museum despite still feeling a little peculiar
Made sweet potato and apple cake and everybody liked it (although they don't like sweet potato)
Made emergency cake out of ds1's jam as he said he hadn't bashed it hard enough and it smelled as if it would ferment shortly
Nit combed all dcs (3 of them screamed throughout and ds1 caused bruises )
Kept moderately calm through various tantrums and fights (there seems to be friction in the air atm)
And - oh, I dunno, the usual stuff.
Rescued ds1's special trainers which he had WASHED because he wants to wear them for sports day tomorrow. They were heavy and dripping. Off to change the newspaper...
