For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes the kale one was her favourite too 100x, judging by the amount of exclamation marks and swearing accompanying it

Do you think I can get an injunction out against her?

I'd talk to the PunAnon people, I bet they provide support to those subjected to puns by email.

MrsCarrot · 01/07/2007 16:17

oh, it's got to be Celery Towers, please choose that, how pertinant, pertinent? (sp?)

actually 'did those beet in ancient time' that has just had me in stitches and I am VERY FULL of sunday lunch, now it hurts.

I've had LOADS of veg, baby beet leaves, sweet potato, swede, carrots green beans and red cabbage, but sadly I fell down over pudding. I couldn't have anything on the menu so I had choc truffles with frozen grapes and limoncello. I am pretending there wouldn't have been a little cream in the truffles.

I wish I drank coffee, I need digestive help, no fennel tea in the house.

Boco- did you see my post about Joanna Newsom, what did you think about the second album?

I was really looking forward to it but was slightly disappointed I have to say, it has grown on me a bit. The sprout and the bean is still my favourite.

MrsCarrot · 01/07/2007 16:30

lovely Dh just picked me some mint from teh garden, feel a bit better now, might have another walk.

Meant to say happy birthday to little Toot as well!

Boco · 01/07/2007 16:35

I can't decide, i like float like a butternut sting like a pea very much - and chard days night!

Professorfilthymindedvixen · 01/07/2007 16:41

i VOTE FOR CELERY TOWERS TOO

Did you really see her live, Boco, you lucky thing? The second one is growing on me I just don't adore it like the first one, not yet anyway. I think maybe I need to listen to it clearly to grasp the story, there's always loads of other noise when I have music on.

Do you like Devendra Banhart too? Similar sort of musical magic realism.

MrsCarrot · 01/07/2007 17:28

though not a similar sound, I've never heard a voice as strange as hers, Bjork is the closest I suppose.

Boco · 01/07/2007 17:39

Yes like Devendra Banhart too - they played together i think a few times. Both on Vetiver which is good. I've got cripple crow and Nino Rojo - both really good. Sufjan stevens is another favourite atm.

Joanna Newsom is playing at the Royal Albert Hall in September - my brother has tickets and i'm so I saw her at the Barbican - she's so tiny and sweet.

MrsCarrot · 01/07/2007 17:49

I think cripple crow is the best one. I have two others, the nino one and something else, there's a odd one about a pig? I also have Vetiver, have only listened to that a couple of times though, it reminds me of the Beta Band, it's great. I haven't heard of Sufjan Stevens I'll look out for it.

It will be a while before I can go to a gig I expect, need to be a breastfeed away at all times. I don't really mind though as I think he is probably my last baby . I used to go out all the time and travel all over when Ds was born, feel a bit guilty about that now.

is pea moth an actual moth, or one of these things like ringworm, you know , confusingly not a worm but a fungus? I didn't think there could be much I like less than a pea but I guess a pea with pea moth might be one of them.

FrannyandZooey · 01/07/2007 18:53

Oh crikey Avi dh is having shocking luck this week isn't he? We have been at the beach as well but it was startlingly windy.

My favourite is Celery Towers as well, so unless there is a huge last minute consensus by everyone else for another title, I think we may have that one this week

Oh good.

ahundredtimes · 01/07/2007 19:36

I am blue and unwell, and nah nah nah nah nah no no no, do I run rare and you've changed so, peach plum.

Boco · 01/07/2007 19:59

do you like her 100x?

Bridges and balloons is so beautiful - and sprout and the bean - and Swansea - the bit about the freight trains.

On her new album - you know the man with the really deep voice who sings about bones or something? That's her boyfriend, Bill Callahan, he was at the concert singing - he had to stand still for half an hour before his bit came on - he was so handsome - with cords and a manly stance - got two of his albums too - lovely.

"cords and a manly stance"

mmmmm hmmmmmmm

MrsCarrot · 01/07/2007 20:41

I can't believe you're both newsom fans, hardly anyone that I know likes her, (well, apart from the friend who gave me the album) Dh groans when it's on too, 'can we break some bricks, la la la, are you in-terrr-est-ed la la la..'

MrsCarrot · 01/07/2007 20:42

Aviatrix- that sounds quite pretty in a grim kind of way, maybe you just said it poetically

MrsCarrot · 01/07/2007 20:46

Bill C

Boco · 01/07/2007 21:28

He looks a bit moddish there. He looked swoonsomely handsome in real life. He stood with his arms crossed and his legs quite far apart waiting to sing. Very very deep sexy voice.

ahundredtimes · 01/07/2007 21:39

Ah yes dh hates too, makes me like it more.

I only have The Milk Eyed Mender. Have missed out on the manly voice in cords. I love your gossip Boco.

I like that line from This Side of the Blue about the sucking lemons across from me and I am progressing abominably and 'when she looks at you you know she is nowhere near through' or something?

Haven't listened to Devendra Banhart, but he always comes up on the Listener's Also Bought thing on my itunes. Shall I buy?
