For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information here (follow the link at the very bottom of the page)

Tatties- I looked at YOUR profile and couldn't see a picture of said breasts, but I'm sure they are fabulous

Tatties · 16/05/2007 13:41

Ok my photos are there now - not much to see really. You all have to say I have great breasts now though don't you

MrsCarrot · 16/05/2007 15:52

Magnificent!

FrannyandZooey · 16/05/2007 18:11

I am not giving any more compliments about breasts this week, I will get some kind of reputation

Tatties, bike to work scheme - your employer has to arrange it with a bike shop and then say you buy a bike for £500, you borrow the money from your company, then they claim the VAT back from the govt so right away the price of the bike is reduced by 17.5%. Then they take it from your gross salary, so you don't pay tax or NI on that amount either, so in total about 35 - 40% off, or more if you are higher rate tax payer. You can also include accessories that you need for the bike. Technically it is a hire purchase agreement and your company own the bike, but in practice they will either give it to you or sell it to you for nominal fee (usually £20) at the end of the term.

It is a really smart way to get a good bike and plenty of employers are doing it now, or you could talk them into it. The bike shop will deal with all the paperwork if your dp's firm doesn't already offer the scheme.

I have had grapes, orange, pears (2), raisins, for breakfast, beetroot (lots) and apple for lunch, and mash which dp thought it was a good idea to add mashed jerusalem artichoke to, for dinner. "Those dark brown potatoes smell a bit funny but I have added them in anyway." "Yes dear that is because they are jerusalem artichokes ffs". Oh also ate corn.

SauerKraut · 16/05/2007 19:27

Goodness me, what a lot of breasts on a friut thread!! F&Z, it is nice not to be what sometimes seems like the only non-driver on earth! I don't either, and get on grand, do you?
Have had a banana and some veggie soup today- best I could do as I have been in the Consulate in Geneva, not getting my passport as their computers went down. So I shall go to Dublin for the concert on a one-day extortionately-priced travel permit thingy and shit bricks on Sunday when I try to come back with none. I play the trombone, F&Z, and you didn't forget(not that I would have minded!),I didn't say.

TooTicky · 16/05/2007 19:47

Hello all
Have had avocado, tomato, lettuce, mushrooms, carrots and apple. Will prob have some mango shortly. Oh, and have had dried apricots.
My breasts are unimpressive though. Can I still be here?

FrannyandZooey · 16/05/2007 20:07

The trombone, how extraordinary. I hope you have a good time, I must say that is probably the most exciting thing every posted by a 10 / 10 er, wouldn't you agree?

Everyone is welcome, great breasts or not. Betty as you ate 2 grapes and also got my joke you can definitely stay.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 16/05/2007 20:53

God I wish I had not eaten those artichokes. I think I could accompany you on the trombone right now SauerKraut

What is all this talk of bosoms?

I am on seven, I just can't remember what they were (it's exam marking season and my brain has gone all fuzzy) but I know the answer is seven.

Tatties · 16/05/2007 22:28

Ooh, children's photographer, that would be a lovely job! I enjoy taking pictures too, I'm really pleased with some of the ones I've taken of ds recently. It's a challenge to get him to keep still though!
