For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information here (follow the link at the very bottom of the page)

Veg is better than fruit so I hear

much to my chagrin

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2007 22:20

Ooh, lucky me, Mr carrot is so, ahem, well endowed

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2007 22:28

Yes with an attractive string protruding from the end

Really? I always thought my name was a bit crap... Ok I'll change back

MrsCarrot · 20/05/2007 22:30

not sure whether to stay Mrs Carrot or return to carrotcake, or in fact, whether to change my rl name as I told dh I would. Hmm, I wonder if mnet life mirrors rl in some way if you spend to long on here? Maybe it's time I went to bed!

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2007 22:31

Tatties you have a fab name

especially when you are YoureTheOneForMeTatties

MrsCarrot I do like your name. It is kind of jaunty and surreal.

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 20/05/2007 22:31

eww, just seen the string

MrsCarrot · 20/05/2007 22:34

jaunty and surreal, I like that! Dh and I are e-mailing each other from upstairs, that's not a good sign is it? Think he's making some point about me mnetting. There's that thing again, making a noun into a verb, like birthing or parenting...

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2007 22:39

god I wish dp would email ME, instead of doing that noisy thing where people move their mouths about, and interrupt your important train of mumsnet thought

ds as well

"Hi Mummy please can I have some breakfast when you have finished talking to your internet sprites thx love ds xx"

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 20/05/2007 22:42

yes, actually he did try to talk to me on the sofa but I said sshh, maybe that's why he went upstairs to e-mail, poor neglected Mr carrot. God that's nauseating must go to bed now

Tatties · 20/05/2007 22:47

That was the best name wasn't it Franny? I may change it back for next week's festivities

I really like it when dp and I email each other (and he only works 10 mins away)

MrsCarrot did you keep your name when you got married?

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2007 22:50

Ooh are we doing it next week?

OP posts:
Tatties · 20/05/2007 23:02

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2007 07:54
