**OUCH! BITTEN NIPPS THAT SWELL UP?***

Good lordie, dd had a cold which got her so frustrated as she couldnt breathe to feed that she chomped on my poor nipp, which has now swelled up into a weird white bump/blister thing and is agony to feed from.

She did it a few weeks ago to the same one, and a blood blister appeared at the tip, which disappeared after a few days of very very careful feeds.

But when I feed her she gets distracted by the slightest noise, eg me sneezing, dh coughing on other side of room, and whips her head round while still attatched. Apart from feeding her in a soundproofed box how the heck do I stop her?

She also tugs very hard on the left one, but is an angel on the right?

Any ideas?????????????
ps she is 4.5mths and I am stopping bf at xmas probably...if I can put up with this pain till then!

i think im going to ring my hv tomorrow and see if i can hire one from anywhere to give it a whirl before i go and buy a more expensive one. i think it will be best fords2 milk allergy if the longer i can keep feeding him the better, im just not sure how i will manage it at work, i think they would be quite happy for me to nip off and express i will just feel a bit uncomfortable with it.

I do it in a corner off a staff room with those movable free standing pinboards as privacy. You could always put a sign on them saying the dairy is open/closed.

bonjourno sore nipple club...mine is better now. Had a weekend at my mums, and dropped a big bottle of lemonade on my toe. ouch!

I am exhausted today now though, going to take it easy and watch phantom of the opera on dvd.

my hair is still coming out, somedays hardly anything and then loads (well it seems like lots)
another day. ds 2 is 5 months on thursday Been shopping today for ds1 birthday (8 on thursday, time goes soooooooooo quickly) and xmas shopping as well. ds2 slept nearly all the way round so he went just over 5 hours without feeding so boobs feel enoumous. he is now having a massive feeding frenzy, he keeps doing this thing where he seems to roll my nipple over and it hurts!! he lets go when i yelp though!

i've had 3 sleepless nights in a row also, i think he must have been on a growth spurt he has been feeding so much, has anyone fell asleep sitting up in bed whilst still feeding? or jus me and i shouldnt admit to it, i usually end up with a stiff neck afterwards. he has been feeding 4-5 times a night, i have filled him with swede and rice and then some pear tonight as well as his last feed at about 8ish so fingers crossed he will go for a few hours more tonight. he was weighed this morning and had put 14 oz on in 3 weeks which is good going for him, hes such a tiddler, hes now 11lb10oz!!!!!! nearly fitting into 3-6 month clothes and hes 5 months tomorrow.

i've been internet shopping aswell, im a bit addicted to it, its so easy to click click and then it arrives a few days later, till i realise the money has gone from my bank!! oh well.

I've dozed while feeding too.

God I feel so lousy think I am getting flu. so tired will I ever be normal again.......

theres a big cold/flu thing going around here. md ds1 always seems to pick it up and pass it on to me, he gave ds2 his first cold at only a few weeks old!! poor baby.
ds2 had his slept from 8 till 11 last night then went till 4am then till 7.30!!!!!!!! heaven, but as it was ds1's birthday today he was wake at 6.30 he was so excited. im dreading christmas morning!!!

when we were little my mum NEVER told us it was christmas, then everyone slept till a reasonable time, and we got a fab suprise one morning with presents to open!!!!

my dd slept similarly to your ds2 last night, 7pm-11.30pm, then 12am-4am, then 4am-8.30am
