**OUCH! BITTEN NIPPS THAT SWELL UP?***

VoodooBanana · 15/11/2006 13:56

Good lordie, dd had a cold which got her so frustrated as she couldnt breathe to feed that she chomped on my poor nipp, which has now swelled up into a weird white bump/blister thing and is agony to feed from.

She did it a few weeks ago to the same one, and a blood blister appeared at the tip, which disappeared after a few days of very very careful feeds.

But when I feed her she gets distracted by the slightest noise, eg me sneezing, dh coughing on other side of room, and whips her head round while still attatched. Apart from feeding her in a soundproofed box how the heck do I stop her?

She also tugs very hard on the left one, but is an angel on the right?

Any ideas?????????????
ps she is 4.5mths and I am stopping bf at xmas probably...if I can put up with this pain till then!
tar for your help

ha ha my dh does all his own ironing, (because the insinuation is I dont do it thoroughly enough) but I dont want to stop him,,,,so I carry on being slapdash....

he does his own laundry completely, most of the time, actually.

I cook clean and wash up. and make beds. and baby sit 24/7.

oh i kinda wished i'd done an english degree, but didnt do very well in alevel eng lit. but i have this little fantasy that one day i will be a primary school teacher, but then again having volunteered for ds1 school sometimes, the kids can be little s*s. my friend is a vet and gave up to be a teacher at my sons school which will be wierd when he goes in to her class next year.

ds1 loves reading too, hes read the harry potters and is now going through r dahls books. and reading survior by chris ryan, he likes the sas tips!!(it is a kids book i promise!!)

worleygig · 05/01/2007 19:50

i still havnt had one? i cant remeber how long it was after ds1. are you still feeding a bit though? im still feeding, although not as much now hes weaning also

im on the mini pill also so dont know if thats affecting it

worleygig · 05/01/2007 19:54

you get used to them being put to sleep, you kind of detach your self as they arent yours and you dont know them. i howled when i had to have ours pts. i wouldnt let the other vn hold her i did it, which im not sure if it made it worse of better. i worry about seeing her as a ghost and wonder what she must think of us for having to have it done. but then i think of that little girl that died this week and kind of know it was the right thing to do but cant help feeling guilty.

worleygig · 05/01/2007 19:57

i never thought i dog ghosts until i went to some clarivoint eves with my firnd and he ket saying about this old man with his dog...and the people knew who it was which was . i was going to say creepy/scary but its not really.. freaky?

Jennster · 05/01/2007 21:26

BE VERY CAREFUL. I haven't had a period since April last year....but I'm up the duff.

Jennster · 05/01/2007 21:35

No April 2005 not last year. Woohoo.

I love reading too. I keep a list of books I've read in the year, although this year I think I've missed loads off. I've counted children's books too.

Of Jodi Picoult, I've read Vanishing Act (good) My Sister's Keeper (brilliant) and Perfect Match (DREADFUL)

worleygig · 05/01/2007 21:43

so far i've also read, vanishing acts,(good) my sisters keeper (made me cry), mercy(good), the pact (ok),plain truth, perfect match (i thought was good), keeping faith (okish), saelem falls (good) haven't read any others yet, waiting for them to come out on paperback. i read the pact and plain truths onholiday last year. the flight went quicker then and our 5 hour delay in chicago.

back on monday-ish, if I survive it.....

Macdog · 06/01/2007 10:11

Was a Lush product bath. Blue sky and white fluffy clouds, to be precise. I just crumble a little bit in and it lasts for ages .
Off for one of those lovely country walks now. In the rain, unfortunately . But can't have everything

worleygig · 06/01/2007 16:06

Macdog · 06/01/2007 22:59

Hey Worley!
You pretty lady !

worleygig · 07/01/2007 10:58

yay our new bed arrived today

BUT

i forgot about the mattress so i now have to get one , we did have a double but got a king in the sale. its only 20cm wider but is longer.
the only thing is with ds2 still in there with his cot theres not really a lot of room anyway

im off to tescos now, have a nice day.
p.s macdog, i hope you didnt get to wet on your walk.

VoodooBiltong · 07/01/2007 19:25

Im a suvivor, Im a survivor......

It wasnt too bad...MIL cooked a full meal for dd...mashed veg, stewed apples etc which is great but makes me ashamed to keep using the jars...

worley, weightwatchers sounds the most sensible diet thing and my friend had success with it.

I tried on my bridesmaid dress - - they are going to pad it up at the bust to soak up leaking milk but it will make my boobies look even bigger, and I wont need to wear a bra...result!
