**OUCH! BITTEN NIPPS THAT SWELL UP?***

Good lordie, dd had a cold which got her so frustrated as she couldnt breathe to feed that she chomped on my poor nipp, which has now swelled up into a weird white bump/blister thing and is agony to feed from.

She did it a few weeks ago to the same one, and a blood blister appeared at the tip, which disappeared after a few days of very very careful feeds.

But when I feed her she gets distracted by the slightest noise, eg me sneezing, dh coughing on other side of room, and whips her head round while still attatched. Apart from feeding her in a soundproofed box how the heck do I stop her?

She also tugs very hard on the left one, but is an angel on the right?

Any ideas?????????????
ps she is 4.5mths and I am stopping bf at xmas probably...if I can put up with this pain till then!
tar for your help

thats why although i've been tempted to bring ds2 in to bed with me when i cant get him to sleep, i have to remember that it took about 3.5 years for ds1 to actually sleep in his own bed for a whole night. as even now at the weekends when dp is at work ds1 prefers to sleep in my bed still, during the week he is banned as i tell him its a school night and ds2 will wake him. but really i treasure having the WHOLE bed to myself!!!

JennStarOfWonder · 02/12/2006 22:15

We eat much later than dd so we usually save a portion of what we had and she has it the next night.

worleywinterwonderland · 02/12/2006 22:21

ANYWAY we survived the party, we went to watch flushed away, ds2 stayed with dp, he had a bottle of expressed milk but still played him up. i got a text half way through the film to tell me he was crying and wouldnt stop. but then he gave up and went to sleep. I dont know why he wasnt happy to stay with dp as he stays with him during the week in the mornings when i get an hour to go to the gym, im not a fitness frak but i love the jacuzzi and swimming and it gives me an hour away a couple of times a week. plus i still have a few stone ++ to go to before i get to pre ds1 weight!! )

so good party, although didnt realise that 8 year old boys were so obsessed with winkys and bums so i had a few laughs as i listened to their conversations!!

JennStarOfWonder · 02/12/2006 22:22

Got my booking appointment date through today, and my first scan is a week on wednesday....Can't believe it's all happening so quickly!

worleywinterwonderland · 02/12/2006 22:23

jenn thats what i've been thinking about doing, although he has a milk allergy so i have to watch what i give him. but i used to jars and stuff for ds1 and hes such a picky eater i thought that im not going througgh this again, so ds2 will just get the same as the rest of us.

JennStarOfWonder · 02/12/2006 22:23

Sounds like fun Worley. Did you resort to a drop of el vino?

worleywinterwonderland · 02/12/2006 22:24

are you scared or excited? i think i would be worried about coping with 2 so close in age, but then i have such a big age gap i think it would have been easier if we had of had another a lot sooner.

JennStarOfWonder · 02/12/2006 22:26

JennStarOfWonder · 02/12/2006 22:27

Oh definitely excited. We WERE trying so it shouldn't have been so much of a surprise, but we thought it would take 6 months like it did last time!

worleywinterwonderland · 02/12/2006 22:29

i had a look at this a week or so ago, it was quite good.
i think as soon as he is able to do this then i will, as ds1 had a problem with lumps too so i think this might help ds2 more, although i have sowly not been making it such a runny puree to it being a bit thicker as he loks as if he is now starting to chew, sort of .....

worleywinterwonderland · 02/12/2006 22:32

does your little one manage to get much in or does most of it go on the floor?
