**OUCH! BITTEN NIPPS THAT SWELL UP?***

Good lordie, dd had a cold which got her so frustrated as she couldnt breathe to feed that she chomped on my poor nipp, which has now swelled up into a weird white bump/blister thing and is agony to feed from.

She did it a few weeks ago to the same one, and a blood blister appeared at the tip, which disappeared after a few days of very very careful feeds.

But when I feed her she gets distracted by the slightest noise, eg me sneezing, dh coughing on other side of room, and whips her head round while still attatched. Apart from feeding her in a soundproofed box how the heck do I stop her?

She also tugs very hard on the left one, but is an angel on the right?

Any ideas?????????????
ps she is 4.5mths and I am stopping bf at xmas probably...if I can put up with this pain till then!

i didn't go out celebrating in fact i was in bed by 10.45pm dp was at work so it was just me and my ds's.
i got woke be the rain and wind a couple of time and when our local eventually kicked out at about 2am i could here them all talking quite loudly as they walked home. i was jealous though!! may be this year..

so, im about to kickds1 off the playstation and watch swallows and amazons!!! i brought it for him but he doesnt want to watch it but he's gonna!!!

dd went into her own room at 3 months. She had been good at sleeping through, and didn't notice much different.

Happy New Year everybody. DD is sleeping through now, but then she is 2 weeks off being a year and we had to start giving her dream feeds again. She went in her own room at 3 months though and just left our door open. If she really wanted us she had to cry loud enough.

dh says we cant move dd in on her own till my parents have gone to scotland, 1st Feb. she will be 7 mths 1 week by then...I cant wait to read in bed ,,,

dh is concerned my tipsy parents will wake her and she will be scared on her own (!??) he is softer than me on the issue.

I had eaten no crap today ontil lunch time when I ate 6 (yes six ) cherry bakewell pies...at least they were the low fat ones..

I made merry in the Mothercare sale today, spending yet more pennies we do not have,,got her two lovely skirts to grow into, one pale pink one pale mossy green, and two long sleeve tops, so useful, and was practical buying pretty spotty ankle socks for her too. also got a gorgeous cream cardigan she will wear over the dress i got off eBay she is wearing to my sisters wedding.
mmmmmmmm I love buying baby clothes in the sales.

Commemorating my lovely dh, born and bred in Jo'Berg...Biltong is his favourite snack. It's like, dreid antelope or something equally horrid, selfridges sell it and it tastes like leather. And looks like it.

ds2 woke 4 times last night, he is in his cot next to our bed. we only have 2 bedrooms and so he will have to stay in out room unitl he sleeps through as i really cant be done with both of the ds awake at night!! i do read in bed though, i just point my lamp away from the bed so i only have a little light, or lay on my side and read and get pins and needles....
we were going to have the loft converted and then we would have had a spare room ready for another baby but ds2 obviuosly had other ideas. see, that was the last time im ever getting drunk again, well when dp is there anyway, i'll stagger about with my girls friends next time.
anayway, about this slackers thing.....
i had to go to the nursery and leave ds2 again for 30 long minutes today, and again he wasnt the slightest bit bothered. traitor. oh well at least i know he's happy!! hes going again tomorrow and thurs and fri, as i start back at work on monday, but im only doing 4 hours a day 3 times a week until 29th jan.

and i just ate a whole 100g bar of green and blacks dark choc with orange and spices.mmmmmmm i feel sick now though, but im still being called to the white choc buttons than my nan brought ds2 (?? she knows he cant have choc but still she brought them insisting they are only little ones??)

ds2 ate 2 whole biscoti things today, i broke them up in to bits and he ate them up, i thought he would suck on them but no, he managed to bite off big lumps so thats why i had to break them in to smaller ones for him. takes after his mother i think i got him some apricots to try him with also.
i got a new recipie book for babies (it was only £2.99 from sainsburys) and he loves the carrot and red pepper ambrosia, the cock-a-leekie stew and peach and apple fool

I loved biltong when I had it. My Grandpa brought some back from SA 20 years ago.

As for reading in bed, I got a head lamp for reading while breastfeeding. It looks like a miner's lamp.

ds2 has woke 3 times scince i put him to bed at 7. i think hes a bit boob dependent at the moment and wont even make do with his dummy to go to sleep with, i know im making things worse by letting him go to sleep on the boob, but i need a quiet life tonight im knackered today after last nights non-sleeping malarky. and dp is in birmingham visiting his friends so its just me and my boys.

We were at my mum's for dinner last night and she made this !!!!!

i got myself a new breast pump and i managed to get 3 oz out in 10 mins!!! once it popped it just dint stop!!

also left ds2 at nursey fro 45 mins this moring. he drank 1 oz expr bmilk from the nursery nurse too. so tahs one less thing to worry about.

except work have somehow cocked my stat maternity pay up this month and not given me any and paid me a whole months full time pay. which im not entitled to.. unfortunatley they noticed so they arent going to pay me again till end of march, so i went and complained as i was suppossed to start claiming those childcare vouchers in jan. but they messed up so now i cant. Also they think i left a week earlier than i did so somehow they diddled me out of a weeks wages, which i want back!!!!

i know when i left as i was admitted that day!!!
i left on the 26th june, induced on the 28th and ds2 was here at 3am on the 30th. so i didnt get much maternity time on my own before he appeared.
