For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY

(if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion)

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY

(can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more)

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being.

So. Hoping for a "jucier" message, were we?

Ignoring THIS thread for a little so-called "fun" elsewhere huh?? Wait til Frances finds out!!...

Charleesunnysunsun · 20/08/2006 19:56

Caught me red handed!

I don't see Her greatness around though do you? Think she may have abandoned her own thread pgrin]

Panboy · 20/08/2006 19:58

C. - do you know the best way of slicing a turnip to avoid the core bit, or will the core bit cook ok, eventually??

Charleesunnysunsun · 20/08/2006 20:05

Sorry i don't i googled it for you but found nothing helpfull.
There just like swedes though arn't they? In which case i just peel them and chop them all up for boiling or roasting.

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 20:12

Tsk tsk you are such demanding disciples

I was merely procuring and planting a small rosemary hedge (well I refuse to be outshone on my own ruddy thread after all)

Aviatrix I sort of remember something about using a rolled up towel behind your head if you find the sit ups hard? Will try to find a link.

Maybe you need to start with some gentle exercises to build up your neck first? I am sure NQC will be able to advise when she is next on.

Hello hello, I'm back, you have all been so busy, love the photo, but couldn't see Charlies.
I am still trying to keep to my 10/10 promise, but it's been hard folks.
Too much wine and bbq food on Saturday. did demonstrate pelvic thrusts on my new dvd for sniggering friends and pulled the muscles in my inner thigh
Did a 30 minute walk today, and have been trying to eat fruit, took lots up with me, but brought a lot of it back.
Never mind, its another week tomorrow

Overrun · 20/08/2006 20:53

Anyway off to bed, yes I know but the children did not sleep well all in one room, just as I feared, we are shattered. I intend to eat beans on toast and read the papar in bed, night night

Pan1 · 20/08/2006 21:43

And where is NQC?

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 21:48

Pan

where has your boy gone?

OP posts:
Pan1 · 20/08/2006 21:51

Tried to chage it to just 'Pan' (much nicer, shorter, more truthful etc..) but THERE IS SOMEONE ALREADY here as "Pan", though I've never seen them!!!

So Pan1 seemed the best alternative. You approve?

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 21:56

No.

OP posts:
Pan1 · 20/08/2006 21:59

Shall I ...go back...to Panboy??

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 22:00

It really won't do, you know. Names with numbers in are just silly, and Pan is only your nickname, if you change your screen name to Pan we will have to call you PannyPanPannington or something.

You are a boy, and Panboy was cute - are you sick of it?

If you want a change, how about ChipPanBoy?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 22:00

I am very fussy about names and people are very kind about indulging me, but I am always right you see

OP posts:
Pan1 · 20/08/2006 22:01

Get outta here!!

Panman?

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 22:02

Nope

Panman

OP posts:
Pan1 · 20/08/2006 22:03

EErm...Panboy!!

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 22:03

PANBOY

what is wrong with that

it was that PandoraJar thing that was the problem

sheesh you are fickle, you have changed your name loads

PANBOY

everyone knows who you are now, don't muck about

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 22:05

now you don't want me to have to get stern with you, do you?

OP posts:
Pan1 · 20/08/2006 22:06

Yeah!! Changed because you BULLY me, as thread Leaderene, into it all!!

Well this time, I'm staying put!! I know how to stand up to bullies, even nice ones like you. (hope you don't mind..)

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 22:07

Oh. Gosh. Nobody ever said NO before

I'll just go and have a little lie down...

OP posts:
PannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 22:09

Hey, what do you think of my new name?

Pan1 · 20/08/2006 22:11

You are just being ridiculous now.
