For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY

(if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion)

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY

(can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more)

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being.

I plan my own sessions, but did learn a bit from the per trainer...do about 20 mins on X-trainer/treadmill/rower and then about 30 mins of free weights and the odd machine - if you are seeking muscles free weights are BY FAR better, as you need to use your smaller 'balence' muscles to hold and move the dumb bells/barbells - machines assist in this. Then do abs exercises and a swim for 15 mins or so, and have 10 mins in the steam room!!

All takes about 80-90 mins and do feel brilliant atthe end. BUT sometimes eg tomorrow B4 work I'll just swim for about 20 mins on the way in.

Visit 3-4 times per week.

Smug warning - about 2 years ago I planted a rosemary hedge at the front of the house - littley plants - NOW it averages about 4 feet all along the length of the wall - and large parts of it ends up in EVERYTHING I eat, short of the mueseli...atm..

Yes what do you think Pan? She is very fit and healthy and all that

But will she bond with the rest of the group? Hmm, it's a risk....

Charleesunnysunsun · 20/08/2006 18:59

Evening!

I must confess i'm still in my pj's!
I woke up with a headache and didn't have anywhere to go so we have all bummed about the house all day, but active play with DS is pretty good excersise.

We are running low on the fruit and veg until i do the shopping tomorrow but ihave managed a bit of fruit and several veggies with dinner so i haven't done to bad

FrannyandZooey · 20/08/2006 18:59

I don't know

Shall we leave her standing there while we ignore her and discuss her in detail for another half an hour though?
