Hurrah for being finished.

We have DDs leavers assembly this week, and I am properly dreading it for lots of complicated reasons. We still have another 2 at the school, so leaving there is not the issue. Does any one know of any sure fire ways to not cry in public?

Eyelash extensions done.

Spray tan done (although slight issue with horse splashing her in the river)

Friend lined up to remove retainer on a daily
basis.

Just needs to pack now them she's off for her girls' holiday.

Sorry. Can't help you re not crying. I cry at anything. I well up when people pull over to let an ambulance past.

Feeling very emotional today.

Ds was seriously ill when young and had numerous stays in PICU. We nearly lost him twice. Worst time was when the ICU Doctor came out to us and was working on him for an hour one snowy night in an ambulance in our drive way before they could move him to hospital.

And now here he is strong, healthy and all grown up. We did not dare dream of this day when he was little but my fighter fought through and won the battle and his mom is so grateful tonight but a soppy soggy mess.

Happy tears. Can you please pass the Kleenex along the bench?

Congratulations Downey and well done to us all!!!!!

DD will be home from her holiday tomorrow. Most of the week its been hotter here I think

I'm feeling a bit grumpy I still have nearly 3 weeks of school left, but I expect when DS and DD start their holiday jobs I'll feel less envious!

Well done getting here Downey! Hurrah for your DS.

I have some crappy quinoa and cacao nib pretend brownies to add to the buffet. Sorry - we have depleted all stocks of anything remotely interesting to eat. I have good coffee though in case anyone needs to sober up.

DS has been getting himself organised - downloading boarding passes then panicking and thinking he needs hard copies"just in case"!

Well done Downey for getting through to the end (or The End).

DS1 is back from Glasgow. He met someone from Black Honey, someone from The Amazons and someone from Royal Blood, so is happy.

Student Needs Assessment tomorrow morning.

Needs assessment was longer than he was expecting but they made a report which recommends lots of things:
Weekly meeting with mentor
Laptop & b&w printer
Various types of software to help him take notes and plan assignments.

Sounds positive TheThird.
I hope he will have all the support he needs.

Well ds went off for his last exam yesterday and I have not seen him since!

He was out last night and slept at a friend’s in the city. Came home whilst I was at work cleared the mountain of books and papers from the dining table and has gone back out to a party and will stay over. He is making the maid of his new free time.

He is due back tomorrow before his results are sent to us so we can open the email when it comes and share the moment.

Am Bracing myself for an emotional day.
A day when we will hopefully find out where the next chapter of his life take him.

We are having a Barbecue tomorrow night with his closest friend and family. They are Americans so we will be going with an Independence Day theme. Seems rather fitting that they get their results on Independence Day.

TheThird That seems like a comprehensive list, I particularly like the weekly meeting with a mentor.

Downey you won't have had enough time in the waiting area to fully appreciate its features - the pool, the parasol, hammock, the sunken yacht. You'll not have had time to recover from exams before setting off into accommodation and bedding.

Bedding and such can wait until September.

I plan on relaxing here for a good couple of Weeks. I still have another crate of wine in my boot and intend to enjoy it with you all.
