I thought I would start a thread for films from the 70s and 80s which you enjoy but most people have forgotten. Here's a few to start you off:

Rolling Thunder
Time after Time
Somewhere in time
Star Trek IV the voyage home.

I'll add more in a while,
Feel free to add yours.

I remember a rare family outing to the cinema to see this with my brother and parents and we all liked it!

A couple of underseen Bill Forsyth films from the 1980s - Housekeeping and Comfort and Joy.

And not forgetting, from 1979 - That Sinking Feeling!
Lovely film, think it was BF's first.

You lot have excelled yourselves with these.
And yes don't worry if some people think some are well known, I have friends who have never seen many well known films from the last 70 years!
I remembered another this morning - Blind Terror with Mia Farrow, saw it at the midnight movies at our local cinema in the 70s.

This talk of Bond reminded me of an absolute belter from the 70s staring Roger Moore.

I'm off to watch it now on Amazon. I haven't watched it for over 30 years. Thanks OP!

This is such a brilliant film.
I also love Jagged Edge.
I don’t know if it’s been added yet but there’s an old wartime film called ‘Went The Day Well’. It’s from an old Graham Greene story - really recommend it.

I love Went The Day Well.

It's not been posted on here because this was originally a thread about 70s and 80s films but there's a lovely thread about old Hollywood films that expanded to include old British films.
