The Gilmore Girls
Who doesn't want to live in Stars Hollow?!
Dawson's Creek box set when doing the ironing

The Good Wife. I watched the first four series in two months last year. I have subsequently got 3 other people addicted to it. Trouble is now I have to cope with one episode a week and it's not enough!!!!

Mad Men was another favourite, and (long time ago this) we use to watch Coupling repeatedly. I think some series are better watched in fast forward because you can appreciate the story arch better.

Iwasbornin1993 · 03/05/2015 14:51

DP and I love Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Arrow. My own personal fave though is The Good Wife, only found it this year but already up to date!

Apricota · 03/05/2015 16:07

West wing and fire fly. Feel likes total escape loving. Re dwarf is also pretty good

BunnyFint · 03/05/2015 18:09

Mine would have to be,
ER,
The West Wing,
Scandal,
Modern Family,
Bones,
Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
And Greys Anatomy.

SiobhanSharpe · 03/05/2015 18:54

Breaking Bad is the best thing I have EVER WATCHED on television. Dh and i would watch three episodes at a time, any Saturday and Sunday evenings that we were free and felt genuinely sad when we'd finished it. Outstanding.

IfInDoubtPout · 03/05/2015 18:59

Oh dh and I have enjoyed prison break, lost, x files, Jonathan creek, fringe, and 24. 24 and lost my favourites and have watched some seasons again.

I'd like to watch desperate housewives and sex and th city again via box set too, but they are non dh watches. We have breaking bad in the pipeline.

Becky2208 · 03/05/2015 19:21

DH and I are all about the box sets. So far, we've been through, in no particular order:
Boardwalk Empire
House of Cards
The Wire
The Shield
House
Modern Family
That 70's Show
The Big Bang Theory
Homicide: Life on the Streets
The West Wing
CSI
Criminal Minds
Game of Thrones
Newsroom

Our out and out favourites are The Wire and The West Wing, though for easy chill out days Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory are great. We're desperately in need of something new to watch!

DeeDee1981 · 03/05/2015 19:58

Ncis:LA
Stargate
Stargate Atlantis

Hustle
Desperate Housewifes

Best ones Charmed, Greys Anatomy and NCIS:LA

Jenni2legs · 03/05/2015 20:20

Firefly is my favorite, I love watching it with new people and seeing them fall in love with it too.
Can't wait until the DC's are old enough Grin

Hathall · 03/05/2015 21:20

Another Breaking Bad fab here.
I also loved True Blood and Devious Maids got me through some bad nights bfing a newborn.

lupus · 03/05/2015 21:21

Felicity: high quality teen/ student angst written so beautifully and acted so well adults can enjoy and reminisce

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 03/05/2015 21:31

The Walking Dead. I stay up too late watching it and then can't sleep because I'm too frightened of zombies but I LOVE it.

MadameJosephine · 04/05/2015 06:57

My all time favourite has to be ER, I watched them all avidly when I was younger and bought the box set when I was on maternity leave. Still totally in love with Doug Ross but Oh the heartbreak at watching Mark green die all over again Sad. I love House too but had to go back to work before I'd worked my way through that one

My 18 year old son has persuaded me to watch breaking bad recently and i'm really enjoying it so far, we are mid way through season 3 and have only been watching for a couple of weeks. Nice to spend some time with DS too, even if he is infuriatingly reluctant to give me any spoilers!

cricketqueen · 04/05/2015 09:03

Box sets are a lifesaver atm. Breastfeeding a very greedy 9 week old sometimes it's nice to curl up and binge on them.
My favourite is Supernatural but I do love bones, game of thrones and Big bang theory.

CrispyFern · 04/05/2015 09:36

My favourite is my trusty old Sopranos box set. Watched it three times and could watch it again (if I ever had another baby to breastfeed).

jammiecat · 04/05/2015 11:34

Love a good box set. My favourites have been Six Feet Under, Once upon a Time and most recent one which totally ruined TV for me as can't imagine anything living up to it is: The walking dead which was brilliant.

DinosaursStillEggsist · 04/05/2015 13:19

Band of Brothers, House MD, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother and Family Guy. Found some of the bigger favourites (Breaking Bad I'm looking at you) a huge disappointment

HoldenCaulfield80 · 04/05/2015 14:59

The Wire is an absolute must see, as is The Sopranos. On a lighter note, you can't beat a Parks and Recreation boxset!

DianeLockhart · 04/05/2015 18:28

My favourites are the good wife, Homeland, 24, orange is the new black... I want to watch breaking bad and boardwalk empire

43cupsoftea · 04/05/2015 18:51

Has anyone re-watched Breaking Bad? I just wondered if it's as good second time round when you know what's coming?!

Quickquestion15 · 04/05/2015 19:11

OITNB, The West Wing, Dexter and Brothers and Sisters

exLtEveDallasNoBollocks · 04/05/2015 21:59

When I was pregnant with DD I was diagnosed with Pre-Eclampsia. I was taken into hospital in January - I wasn't due until May!

That might have been ok, but it was a German hospital. DH was in Iraq (as were all my friends) and the only English TV channel was BFBS...wall to wall bloody soaps (and news reports from Iraq - not exactly what I wanted)

My salvation was a small personal DVD player, a set of earphones and a constant supply of boxsets from the Families Office.

I made my way through Buffy, Angel, Charmed, CSI, A Town Called Eureka, Roswell, Six Feet Under, Dawsons Creek, Only Fools and Horses and Law and Order (SVU).

I still love all these programmes, and now I get to catch them again on Sky but I've never got out of the habit of watching a series to death rather than one per week - even now I'll set up a series link on Sky+ and watch 4 or 5 episodes of something (Ooh now it's Arrow, Flash, SHIELD and Bones) in a row.

Box sets are the way ahead - 'normal' TV just takes too long!

exLtEveDallasNoBollocks · 04/05/2015 22:02

Oh sorry, favourites: Buffy (of course), CSI and Charmed as oldies and Arrow, Flash and SHIELD for now.

Crumpledandcreased · 05/05/2015 06:21

The Wire is without a doubt the best I've watched so far. We became totally absorbed!
I also really enjoy The Walking Dead. It's not in the same league as The Wire but there are some fab characters, and I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic zombie stuff!
