Entitled ...

Ihateboris · 27/04/2022 12:56

Omg.. James O Brien was just talking about this on LBC!!!! I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing. Our Government is a laughing stock.

happydappy2 · 27/04/2022 13:05

Many men think it's ok to watch porn on their phones in public spaces...whose going to stop them?

PlinkPlankPlunk · 27/04/2022 13:10

I work in the public sector and would be sacked on the spot for watching porn at work (and rightly so). Lets just see, shall we?!

Martinisarebetterdirty · 27/04/2022 13:12

Absolutely disgusting and rank. I’m speechless.

Pissyduck · 27/04/2022 13:13

Absolutely rancid, but doesn't surprise me. However low the bar is, some men always find a way to slither under it.

Franklin12 · 27/04/2022 13:14

When I used to travel by train there were often men who were watching porn. Volume turned very low but when you sit next to them.... I think they do it as a kick for themselves. They know you can see and its a brave person who calls them out in public. Sadly I just moved and got a little smile from the man so he got what he wanted.

MoltenLasagne · 27/04/2022 13:34

That should be an instant dismissal and possibly a criminal charge. Surely it's non consensual exposure similar to flashing? And I'd definitely like to see charges brought against any man watching porn in public.

user750 · 27/04/2022 13:36

I saw a man watching porn on the train when I was with my daughter, I complained and was told to move from my reserved seat "if it made me uncomfortable"
I got nowhere with a written complaint either.

In France a woman who uploaded a video of a man masturbating on the train was fined MORE than the man. Invading a man's privacy to masturbate in public is much worse than. masturbating in public apparently.

Fucking appalling.

Boys watching porn in DD's year 11 classes were just told off in the same way as they would have been for sending a text. It is acceptable now, it seems. Men's choice to ejaculate anywhere they please is much more important than women living a trauma free life.

You say 'was fined', yet the article is nearly three years old and merely suggests that she 'could be facing' a larger fine. Is there a more up to date article that verifies she was indeed hit with a heavier fine?

I’m so sorry that happened to you.

It’s part of a wider social trend in which women’s and children’s rights are being erased, and men can do what they like no matter how harmful or offensive. The police always side with the men and tell women not to moan / generate paperwork.

Our society is not what it was ☹️ and this will end in a very dark place.

gwanwyn · 27/04/2022 17:21

I can only hope they make a very public example - as I do think it's sadly getting more common in public places.

Though it's being discused on PM on radio 4 and it's not clear that the chief whip been given the name of the man - and there's 56 MP facing allegations Three ministers ‘on list of 56 MPs accused of sexual misconduct’

user750 · 27/04/2022 17:29

@Neverreturntoathread no and I lack the enthusiasm to google that nightmare to be frank. Feel free thou. Men watch porn in public all the time and no one stops them - that is obvious. If this story is entirely made up, the fact it is so readily believe shows there is a horrendous problem. I remember they talked about this incident on women's hour BBC radio 4 at the time so assume they fact checked.

I’ve also seen a man watching porn on the train - completely unaware that his phone screen was reflected on the window. It’s just ubiquitous now. Hideous.

MangyInseam · 27/04/2022 18:50

Public computers like in libraries have had trouble with this sort of thing for many years, so I am not surprised that it now happens with phones.

I don't think it really matters that a woman was sitting next to him, it's inappropriate whether it was a woman, man, or an empty seat.

Cubangal · 27/04/2022 19:04

I hope it's Johnson.

Daisylo0 · 27/04/2022 19:10

Which front bencher is it?

MumThatsNotFair · 27/04/2022 19:11

Must have been very high ranking. Otherwise the women would have spoken up then and there when they saw him.

Daisylo0 · 27/04/2022 19:13

I’m intrigued! Raab?

Daisylo0 · 27/04/2022 19:23

It!s fucking gove isn’t it!!!

AgentProvocateur · 27/04/2022 19:26

I hope it’s Jacob Rees Mogg…

DoubleYouOhEmAyEn · 27/04/2022 19:33

I had it pegged as the upstart who was in the headlines recently but I was wrong, he's not a front bencher, though I'm sure he wants to be.

Feelingoktoday · 27/04/2022 19:33

Surely its illegal?
