There you are. See why it wasn't worth getting wound up over this one? People in this thread said the whole thing would be ignored after he came up with some excuse. They have been proven wrong. Other people said he would be defended to the hilt. They were also proven wrong (if there's anything that we know about the Tory party, it's that they will happily stab each other in the back to save, or advance, their own careers).
No one needed to come to any premature judgements regarding this case. We just had to wait for due process to be followed. He resigned once he realised his position was no longer tenable, which means that everyone who claimed that there was nothing that could be done about MPs watching porn in the Commons was firmly proven wrong.
Someone did something bad, they realised they did something bad, so they resigned. Case closed, nothing to see here.
