My sad light I keep next to my bed ,it's got its on stand to keep it upright ..I try for about 30 mins a day ..if you were reading in bed or on a laptop, you could have it near you

Thank you, I'll try it there. The cats will probably knock it over though.

How are things going @2in2022twoyearson .. hopefully work is easier now with the slips rewritten

2in2022twoyearson · 10/11/2025 07:08

Hi, I work part time so I've not actually written any slips. Had a busy birthday weekend for DS 3, with DS and he kept us up a bit in the night as we tried to keep him out of our bed. I slept fine with him but he keeps DH awake, kicking etc. I returned him so many times, he didn't object but always came back. DH returned him the final times. We're going to make a sticker chart today and he'll get one every time he stays in his bed.

So I'm exhausted but I can't tell if it's from my mental health or not. I haven't talked the DH about wanting to go to the GP.... Today is a day with DS. From January I could book him in the nursery 9-3 every day and the three days I work until 5, no extra cost as the 'school hours' are funded and there's space. I went to 3 days to spend more time with him and think having him in on Monday when I don't work for some time to myself. DH doesn't think this is nessersary, but it's funded so I'm just annoyed at his lack of care for me there....I did ask work originally to go from 4 days to 3.5 days but my manager doesn't allow it.

Hi all

My ds finally slept through last night. Its been a rough few weeks! I feel like I've not slept properly for 5.5 years! Which is partly true. One of the major side effects of him being autistic is his sleep. That and his speech (non verbal) im exhausted and working full time now with my recent promotion. So @2in2022twoyearson I feel you but I gave in earlier this year and im currently co sleeping. I have to. It does definitely affect my MH because I feel like shit most days 😞

How's everyone else doing?

Yay for sleeping through, long may it continue. My DS is not autistic and has slept in his own bed for some of his life so it's bad habbits on our side.

There's a lot of talk of ADHD at work with colleagues children having it so I might ask people I trust their opinion on if I have it. I've heard about dopamine seeking and leveling. I student of mine, when I said about the breakdown of my dyslexia assessment a decade ago, with short term memory and audio processing the most effected (typical dyslexic traits there too but less extreme) said how it sounds more like ADHD. I wander if ADHD medicine would help me.... qutiapine has in the past, but for anxiety induced insomnia. But I wanted to do a phone detox so I will go now.
