Lots of luck with the applications, Caulk!! I need to sort my career out. Soon.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/02/2015 15:31

Ah gawn!

I've done all the hard stuff like where I worked and when. Now it's just the why I want the job.

Note- I only want the job because I don't want my job and I'd be too poor to never work. Plus I'd never get out of bed.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/02/2015 15:33

Millie please promise me you won't apply for anything at the big uni because I don't want to come up against you in an interview.

The sick note finishes in ten days, although I'm not sure if I'm ready to go back but I'm not sure because I can't make decisions.

Mitchy1nge · 02/02/2015 15:33

no! I took the bins out last night! I'm sick of doing everything around here!

and my calf HURTS and I'm not even using it :(

Fine. Don't do it.

Do you have any tiger balm? That might help the calf?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/02/2015 15:38

Question on bham uni application form:

"Is your gender identity the same as the gender you were given at birth"

Things to ponder... What percentage of people tick that box.

Mitchy1nge · 02/02/2015 15:39

no, got some arnica somewhere? but just the 'flexible when frozen' hot or cold pack thing

hopefully if I rest it all week it will be ok for Sunday? I woke up looking forward to the race, which have been ambivalent about, so I don't know why life would be this cruel

CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/02/2015 15:42

Isn't arnica for bruises and scars? Lots of reading and, I dunno, eating protein?

I am mentally abnormal and while not fat am fatter than I would like to be.

I am drowning in paperwork and my secretary is off sick. Bad timing.

Millie2013 · 02/02/2015 17:15

Admins stuff. One in medical and dental and one in something sciencey.

Given at birth made me raise my eyebrows.

Millie2013 · 02/02/2015 17:17

Oh.
Lalala...

CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/02/2015 17:19

Don't worry I won't get them.

Mitchy1nge · 02/02/2015 17:20

it is given at birth isn't it

1 in 100 live births has some degree of ambiguity but it's just so so so incredibly important to decide immediately whether the child is a boy or a girl even though we know it's really not that binary

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/02/2015 17:22

Isn't it given before birth? Like 20 wk scans can tell gender can't they?

Millie2013 · 02/02/2015 17:25

I found out at my 20 week scan that "there's nothing to indicate that it's a boy"
"You mean it's a girl?"
"I never said that"
Helpful....

SnowyMouse · 02/02/2015 17:31

I'm fat and mentally abnormal.

Mitchy1nge · 02/02/2015 17:32

I suppose it does start before birth yeah

but it's really not as straightforward as we think, there's so much more variation than the choice of male or female, don't you remember those Olympic tests when they wanted to be sure female competitors were definitely female? it's actually not that easy to identify maleness

Millie2013 · 02/02/2015 17:35

Snowy, how are you feeling?

Mitchy1nge · 02/02/2015 17:42

SnowyMouse · 02/02/2015 17:45

I am feeling awful. They want me to distract myself more. When I said I'd tried video games but was rubbish at them, said to try something easier.
