I've got a sort of beard, some of it is furry and some is quite prickly Hmm

am sharing #3's latest breakfast/lunch craze with you, was a bit Envy of her lunch but we only have 3 jars, am definitely getting more (this video excites me, not the breakfast ones so much)

Coffee and porridge? What?

Kilner jars of stuff look great. That breakfast is basically my lunch or breakfast or tea but I eat it in a bowl.
How would you know that the jar was clean though? I have plastic tubs that are beautiful but I have to put kitchen roll in the bottom first because I am a freak.

Mitchy1nge · 03/02/2015 09:17

our dishwasher is great, everything is sterile when it comes out (don't tell me otherwise, I trust the dishwasher implicitly)

instead of nice coffee to wash down nice porridge am using 2 sachets of nescafe stronger unsweetened cappuccino (52 cals a piece) with instant coffee to make coffee gloop and eating that from a mug

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 03/02/2015 09:21

Please stop doing that. Or just drink that and eat porridge?

My dishwasher makes everything clean so I suppose there is no reason why it wouldn't make killer jars clean. We have lots because...I don't know why. We just do.

Mitchy1nge · 03/02/2015 09:22

although why am even feigning interest in sterility/freedom from contamination while sitting in the fireplace covered in animal hair and still unwashed since - last week? - I dunno

I am addicted to gloop, have been since I was a child Blush maybe was weaned too abruptly? have always preferred gloop to normal food and it comes in so many interesting flavours

Are killer jars contaminated Kilner jars?

DDs God mother (my secret role model) has open shelves in her kitchen filled with beautifully organised Kilner jars full of organic dry goods and artisan shit. In my kitchen they would be covered in that greasy film and empty or containing tesco value pasta and the like.

Mitchy1nge · 03/02/2015 09:36

oh I used to have beautiful jars like that, they were a wedding present, was vegan in those days so they were filled with pinto beans etc

over the years they all seemed to get turned into ant or worm farms or are partially submerged in the garden - children have no respect!

have ordered more jars, hopefully not the killer sort, and a 'mason jar salads' book

does anyone else make and eat different kinds of gloop? :(

Gloop? No

Currently living on tea, chocolate biscuits and venlafaxine.

toothpasteinthetree · 03/02/2015 09:54

Morning all.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 03/02/2015 09:55

That sounds like good points. I would also recommend eating and sleeping because they are helpful too.

toothpasteinthetree · 03/02/2015 09:57

Will add those as 4. and 5. I seem to have been overlooking the eating part recently

Mitchy1nge · 03/02/2015 10:06

I still have some breakfast coffee gloop left, not much but you are welcome to try prising it from my COLD DEAD HANDS

good luck

Good luck toothpaste. Definitely best to take time out and regroup. I'm still working on the eating and sleeping myself.
I have emailed my boss to tell her I am off fir two weeks due to mental disorder and had no reply. Hope she isn't plotting with hr to fire me.

Millie2013 · 03/02/2015 10:29

I am depressed and very overweight. If someone could wave a magic wand, I'd choose to be the right weight for my height, and if that meant keeping the depression, that would be fine.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 03/02/2015 10:40

Sorry, I'm busy being Mentally Disordered.

Millie2013 · 03/02/2015 10:43

Pack it in and put t'kettle on!!
I've dropped DD off and mucked out, now suffering from a motivation slump!

ObsessInPhases · 03/02/2015 10:44

I'm slim but I would choose being fat over abnormal mental health anyday. I fear I have mild depression and it is a struggle. At least with being fat I could work on doing something about it and slimming down sounds like a doddle compared to expelling a mental illness that just won't feck off and leave my mind alone

Mitchy1nge · 03/02/2015 10:45

really SDTG? in some (many, most) ways I'd take a bit of podge over depression but am about as stoical over low mood as I am about any physical aches or pains

sorry caulk, this pressure to perform barista duties is not helping you? go and lie down, will bring you a nice 3 ginger tea (or you could have that strange organic green tea #1 left here)

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 03/02/2015 10:47

hi obsess, yes at least weight/body composition responds to basic laws of physiology or whatever

obviously depression does too but is not always easy to get there?

although the choice in the thread title is between being mentally normal (not ill) or being fat - which doesn't even work Confused it obviously made sense at the time though

CaulkheadUpNorth · 03/02/2015 10:52

I'm lying down staring at the pillow because that's what people do. I would like green tea please. Help yourself to coffee.
