Why do they always insist on putting bits in cup soups?

I have to skim off the nasty rehydrated carrot and lentil chunks and am seriously considering sieving the manky green bits out of the chicken and leek.

Have you tried the tube ones. I think they are Heinz, and they are already liquid and you add hot water. They have No Bits.

Enpoid · 31/01/2015 14:45

I've seen the frubey soups but never tried them; they're a bit more expensive but if there are NO BITS they may well be worth it Grin

My freezer is heaving with exquisite soups made by DP with love and exotic meat stocks but I still drink instant soup Blush

Seriously considering making another appointment with a different doctor who doesn't think I'm insane for the phenelzine and using my appointment on Monday to whinge about my plantar fasciitis and runner's knee.

No no bits. Our local co op has the reduced a lot and home bargains has them too.

SnowyMouse · 31/01/2015 15:14

The tubey soups are good. You could certainly do that, enpo, they always say not to take too many things to one appointment.

My ten minute chunks aren't working very well, I wish I was unconscious.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 31/01/2015 15:34

Snowy, can you go to bed and nap for a bit?

Enpoid · 31/01/2015 15:42

That sucks Snow Sad

Could you manage 5 minute chunks?

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 31/01/2015 15:58

I can't nap unfortunately, too many intrusive thoughts. Working on 5 minutes. Sad

SnowyMouse · 31/01/2015 15:59

I have some 5mg diazepams, maybe I should take some.

Enpoid · 31/01/2015 16:03

It might help.

I'm going out to attempt to do exercise Confused Hope you feel better soon Snow.

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 31/01/2015 16:22

Good luck with the exercise

Mentalpsychiatrist · 31/01/2015 16:44

I went hunting. I got rained on and sleeted on. It was bloody freezing. However, I didn't come off and I managed to have a nice time away from my thoughts. Have to get horse sorted and then I'm off home for a nice bath.

Take the diazepam snowy.

Enpoid · 31/01/2015 16:56

I hate my right knee. I know, I know, it hates me too.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 31/01/2015 17:19

It does hate you. It told me so and it's very sorry.

Enpoid · 31/01/2015 17:22

I can't say I blame it - I'd hate me if I'd made me carry round ten stone of extra weight for a decade, too Grin

OP posts:
Enpoid · 31/01/2015 17:23

Glad the hunting was good. Did your legs freeze in place?

OP posts:
Enpoid · 31/01/2015 17:24

How's it going, Snow?

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 31/01/2015 17:27

I've taken some diazepam. It's helped a bit. Back to 10 minute chunks. How is everyone else doing?

Enpoid · 31/01/2015 17:30

I'm pretty good thanks - trying to decide whether to study humanities or sciences. Or engineering.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 31/01/2015 17:32

Science, always science.

All of me froze into place. Just about to get into the hot bath that DP has very kindly run for me. I should thaw out in half an hour or so.

SnowyMouse · 31/01/2015 17:44

What do you want to do after?

Enpoid · 31/01/2015 18:04

I don't know what i want to do - or, I quite fancy everything TBH. The only things putting me off journalism aee the fact that its impossible to get into and that my real name is plastered all over the internet in relation to a hospital admission as a teen. Also would like to do law, software, all sorts. My family are almost all science types so I know nothing about humanities career paths. And due to some admin/low expectations fuckup (found out I'd been entered for the foundation paper only when sitting in the exam hall) I only have a CC in GCSE science so might struggle to be accepted to a science course.

Also, for science I'm a bit past it.

Anyone else always incredibly thirsty whenbtheybget out of the bath?

OP posts:
Enpoid · 31/01/2015 18:10

If I do humanities it'll probably be a lot easier but I will have to put up with taunting from DP/entire family about "English students" and their failings.
