Woop! Just got a call asking if I wanted to be visited today (er, no, ta) and telling me that they're about to call CMHT to hand me over to them. Finally getting off this daily checking up soon I hope Grin

it has to be the most useless antidepressant ever to have been developed

and that's saying something

but I liked it and surely that should be a good enough reason to keep producing it?

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:27

Good for weightloss from the sound of it.

Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 12:29

nah mate

not once you factor in all the other shit you end up taking as a result of it

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:30

Ah.

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:30

How about high-dosage pentobarbitone? Sounds very effective [grin[

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:32

Ah ignore that.

Have you investigated ketamine Mitchy? I keep hearing rumblings about it but to seems it is never going to get past the "interesting effect found, further study needed" stage.

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 12:35

noooo I don't really want to die

cuddled someone recently (a canine someone) while they were despatched with barbiturates (do I mean dispatched? half a disordered brain Confused)

in fact am often driving around thinking 'wish I was dead' then yelling 'YIKES!' and taking immediate life saving action to avoid collision with some deadly agricultural device

so am pretty sure I choose life!

Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 12:36

no I don't like ketamine

might try it under those circs (IV, in hospital) but no, not recreationally

no no no no no

Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 12:40

I only really like lithium, mdma, reboxetine (but not worth it) shrooms, some benzos sometimes (v infrequent), tobacco

everything else including alcohol am ok without

although the farmer made 'mulled wine' using 6 bottles of mulled wine, bottle of port, bottle of brandy, half bottle of gin (As well as oranges and cloves and sugar and shit) and that was fucking delicious

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:42

Alcohol is shite.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:45

Opiates are okay but I don't take them recreationally. I do have 3g of codeine stashed away in a corner for emergencies though.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:45

Legal, prescribed, pure codeine, that is.

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 12:48

Can you still poo?

Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 12:50

I think colorectal psychiatry could be an interesting new area of enquiry to open up.

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:54

I've never taken enough codeine to have a problem. 60mg at a time for migraine, usually horrible cocodamol. Last time I saw a GP I complained (again) about never being able to take paracetamol in case I needed cocodamol later so she just wrote me up for a box of 100 30mg codeine tablets, on repeat prescription Shock

I have a family member who is dependent on codeine so I'm very careful with it, so should be pretty opiate-naive (my phone autocorrects that to "naice" now, thanks MN) should I need to take large amounts. And thankfully I have plenty of metoclopramide and antihistamines to negate problematic side-effects. Trouble with codeine is that pesky ceiling effect.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:54

I know my dependent family member rarely poos.

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 12:56

I'm sure there is a huge link between gut health and mental health.

Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 12:59

is hard to be mentally normal when you are effectively a giant turd on human legs

when the body analyser thing at the gym says you are 72% impacted poo

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 13:01

Yeah. I have trouble cause I don't eat fruit or starchy veg any more. When most of your calories come from meat, eggs, and nuts, it can be quite a binding diet.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 13:03

I need to go to the gym today. I should've gone running yesterday. I can't be bothered and just want to go to bed.

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 13:11

do you feel better when you've been, or enjoy it once you're there?

usually do my long run on Fridays but would be sensible to rest anyway with race on Sunday even if calf wasn't bit achey

I did 3 sets of 12 'hang clean and press' with dumbbells (slightly modified so picking them off the floor each time) this morning while sniggering at daughter #1 (working her way through my exercise DVDs) trying 'Pilates on the ball, 10 minute solutions'. Not her fault, ball needs more air!

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 13:16

Last time I went to the gym, it was really hard work from beginning to end and I felt just tired and drained and horrible afterwards, instead of singy and dancy and wonderful.

EnpoTree · 07/11/2014 13:17

This cucumber tastes off.

Mitchy1nge · 07/11/2014 13:21

Maybe you need a rest. Or a change, different routine? A class? A swim?
