Woop! Just got a call asking if I wanted to be visited today (er, no, ta) and telling me that they're about to call CMHT to hand me over to them. Finally getting off this daily checking up soon I hope Grin

Oh, problem then.

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:33

I will try to be open-minded. The last psychiatrist I saw was pretty open TBH. I've had a varied experience so I know some times it can work better than others but I'm still very apprehensive.

My CPN is lovely(if a little unreliable, still hasn't called me back). Generally care coordinators are good eggs.

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:34

Problem?

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:34

No not really. I need to arrange an appointment with her.

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:35

Hope your CPN does ring you back. It's a pain waiting for a phonecall.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:35

I get a bit funny about waiting for people to call me.

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:36

No, I was asking what you meant when you said Oh, problem then.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:36

Sorry. I didn't communicate that very clearly.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:37

Sorry, my fault. I was thinking of your ASD referral through the CMHT.

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:41

Collective guilt! That's the word I wanted earlier.

Hmm. Difficulty finding words. This feeling could just be migraine prodrome. Overanalysers Anonymous here I come.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:42

Ah, I see. Sorry. It's possibly because the thread splits over pages then on my device, so I didn't get the context properly.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:42

I'm the queen of over analysis. There's nothing I cannot overthink!

I think you're experiencing the comedown from the high you've been on (at risk of stating the obvious).

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:43

So, Lithium, they work out how much you need to be on by testing your blood, rather than just by seeing how you feel?

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:43

You mean the smoking?

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:44

Yep, it's all about the lithium levels in the blood. Means you get used to endless blood tests. There is of course an element of how you feel too. I've been a bit up and down recently so a low level makes sense.

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:46

Ah. Right. I see. I suppose it's a bit different to other drugs.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:46

Smoking cigarettes? No Smoking cannabis then yes, perhaps.

I meant that you seem a lot less manic then when you started posting.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:46

Lithium is nothing if not unique.

EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:48

I don't feel manic. But then I don't know what manic feels like. I didn't feel manic then, either.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:48

I was confused when you referred to that in the last post on my last thread, too. I don't feel like my posting style has changed at all.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:49

But the psychiatrist I saw with HTT last called me hypomanic too.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:50

All bloody confusing.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 05/11/2014 15:52

So suspicious/scared/tearful/anxious is to be expected immediately after hypomania? Even if I feel just as agitated as before, but just with the horrible jitters instead of with the lovely flowingness?

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/11/2014 15:54

Yep, sounds about right.
