What kind of job do you have in mind, LEM?

Katkins I know exactly what you mean, I feel like I'm paranoid because I put the worst slant on everything. I'm constantly questioning why people are doing things and I've started to believe I can't trust anyone, even myself.

Dog is home, had some chicken and is fast asleep. Wish I could join him but sleep is the first thing that goes when I feel bad. I'm sat here looking at my crisis plan but I can't seem to bring myself to follow it.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

Well that was fun...

Went to GP for appt, all fine, citalopram upped to 40mg as expected. Stomach ache gone so didn't mention it. Was walking home and stomach pain returned with a vengeance and I got really dizzy. Next thing I know, I'm on the pavement with people putting their coats over me etc. taken to hospital by ambulance and staying here tonight. Suspected gallstones Sad

That sounds like a horrible place to be in, (((( LEM )))) Sad maybe a change of meds is worth a go?

I'm struggling, but I have a clinic appointment on Friday, dentist on Thursday, day hosp tomorrow.

Gosh Victrix, that sounds awful Sad I hope they sort it out pdq.

I hope you have DD now, katkins

Katkins1 · 05/08/2014 20:59

(Victrix). I hope you feel better soon.

DD is here, asleep. It's a bit overwhelming already.

(((victrix))), (((katkins))), (((lem))) really sorry to hear you are all having such a tough time.
For me, individual therapy for 15 months made a big difference to the negative thoughts, paranoia and lack of confidence. Also getting stuck into something I enjoy and am good at (painting) has helped pick me up and give me more of a sense of purpose - in place of a job.
Do you have anything like that you could explore in an evening class or something?

welcome Natasha, mosaic this is a lovely supportive thread, hope you find it helpful.

keep going snowy we are off to dentist too tomorrow...

hello vicar, nana and everyone else.

sorry guys i asked HQ to edit the title so more could see what it was about - i was worried that it was a bit quiet in here....thought if it was less cryptic and more graphic it would reach more people who need it.

Smile

so i reported my own post and then forget to tell you all that id done it!

I don't like it here. People keep shining torches in the door. Feel like I'm a zoo animal.

Oh thats horrid victrix. Bloody hospital is pants isnt it. I hope you get some answers re the gallstones today. I had to go totally fat free when I had them. Lost loads of weight buut now all back! Hopefully they will send you home after the scan.

Im really not doing well. My dd has no friends and its down to me. Poor thing needs to be spending time with kids her own age. Not with her depressed mother

Report
Victrix · 06/08/2014 10:24

I'm already gluten-free, if I go fat free too I'll basically be living on salad Grin

Still waiting for my scan, just want to get it over with. Have just been dosing today- tramadol is wonderful stuff!

Hope everyone else has a decent Wednesday.

LEMmingaround · 06/08/2014 10:37

ooh yes, isn't it. although i wasn't able to have it when i had gallstones as i was breast feeding.

raining today

Report
Victrix · 06/08/2014 10:45

Haha just realised I said I was dosing today instead of dozing while talking about tramadol...oops!

Report
SnowyMouse · 06/08/2014 13:30

Good luck with the fitness test, vicar Do you have to do it in all your gear?

Good luck with the scan, victrix

I am very, very tired.

Report
Victrix · 06/08/2014 17:39

Food here is surprisingly good. Just waiting for someone to talk to me about my scan. Enjoying a nice cuppa at the moment. Need to learn how to work my TV before bake off Grin

I'm surprised at how well I'm doing tbh, I think it's the combination of private room + painkillers that's helping.

Report
LEMmingaround · 06/08/2014 19:24

Tramadol is morphine based victrix. I was sooo relaxed post op for my gallstone removal as I was on a morphine drip (unusual) I didn't want to go home Blush

Report
Victrix · 06/08/2014 20:13

Well it is gallstones and apparently one is huge. Finding out more tomorrow and possibly getting home.

Report
LEMmingaround · 06/08/2014 20:31

I now have mine in a little pot in the drawer! Once they removed my gallbladder I was back to normal. I guess youwill have to wait but it would be great if the whipped it out for you as you are there. fwiw you may not have any more attacks. I had gallstones for a long time without diagnosis. It came and went until I had dd and then it was like being hit by a truck. Pudh for surgery!

Report
SnowyMouse · 06/08/2014 21:21

I have gallstones too, but they seem to have settled down recently. The attacks are nasty, definitely get it sorted if you can.

Report
Victrix · 06/08/2014 21:56

They're definitely going to remove my gallbladder, it's more of a when and how question. I'm just glad I've managed to have a medical problem with a straight answer for once!

Hi victrix Smile about the painkillers and that you're getting well looked after. I know what you mean about physical problems..

snowy glad to hear yours are quiet at the moment!

lem wow its like there's an epidemic! Friendships with dds are very fluid at the moment... but I know how upsetting it is for you both. Is there one friend you can invite round/meet at the playground for a playdate and build gradually from there? I find dd does better if she gets some 1-to-1 time rather than just the playground scrum....

vicar how did the fitness test go? I would have no chance!
