Hi everyone,

Sorry can't at mo am watching dd swimming but wanted to say hi.

Thanks lem my depression is def much improved, but have booked appt for next Mon to talk about anxiety. Doc did say a couple of months ago that she wouldn't have put me on fluox (was prescribed by diff doc) so want to find out what she would have prescribed and what would be involved in switching. Not so great today, feeling like I'd like to hide in my shell - hoping is just fall-out from busy weekend. Fingers crossed.

SnowyMouse · 01/07/2013 17:53

Hi CiQ I hope you feel better soon. I don't know what to say UA I hope it works out.

SnowyMouse · 01/07/2013 20:10

JesuslovesmethisIknow · 01/07/2013 20:11

LEMisdisappointed · 01/07/2013 20:17

Just wonderin how mouses is getting on today?

Ed say hello wont ya!

JesuslovesmethisIknow · 01/07/2013 20:25

Thanks!

LEMisdisappointed · 01/07/2013 20:27

Would you like to tell us about you, Jesus? Its ok if you dont want to

ColouringInQueen · 01/07/2013 20:29

Welcome Jesusloves you've come to a lovely supportive thread. Would you like to share a bit about your situation? (completely optional!)

I just wrote a huge post with lots of individual comments and lost it - aaargh! So apologies if this is a bit brief - hope I've remembered most things.

thanks snowy - not so great tonight - self loathing back with avengance. I hope your day ended up reasonable and you enjoyed your fruit and mints. Like you I have also put on weight and today having massive sugar cravings Hmm which I have given in to

vicar Great to hear about spa Smile I have only been on one spa day with my lovely sis and it was great. Echo other's advice re: ds - setting up standing order sounds like a v gd strategy.

lem glad to hear about your GP. My hayfever has been rubbish today (forgot antihist yest) my DH is on all you take so have told him about doubling certriz-y whatsit. Hope you feel better for a restful day. I set up a timetable for my week, it feels better to have a bit of structure. But its all optional, so I get the benefit of feeling more structured even if I don't do cleaning stuff!

Hi hoochy well done on your placement - nearly there! I can imagine you're feeling daunted post-placement. Happy to share my weekly timetable if helpful...

uaglad to hear you have some therapy lined up and there doesn't seem to be any stress about having time off. Really hope you find it helpful.

spc lovely to hear life is good Grin

take care all

JesuslovesmethisIknow · 01/07/2013 20:31

Of course.

Let me think...

what will I say exactly? Give me some props cos otherwise I may be here for ever far too long and totally miss the point Grin

ColouringInQueen · 01/07/2013 20:43

Er props? Well I could tell you that I was diagnosed in Jan with dep/anx after a horrible 2012. On ADs (fluoxetine) which has make a big diff to depression, tho anxiety still problematic plus general low self-esteem. Married, 2 DCs. Learning to paint. Appreciate this thread cos people understand what you mean straightaway and I don't have to keep telling DH if I'm feeling rubbish! Does that give a reasonable snapshot?

LEMisdisappointed · 01/07/2013 20:49

Jesus, have you a thread running at the moment about your problems? How did you hear about us? Are you on ADs at all? Under the doctor?

I suffer from anxiety and depression, like many of the others here, is very up and down, good days and bad, hoping to move towards more good days than bad. I'm not working just now and thats a trigger for me, but also anxiety is preventing me from seeking work.

mouses · 01/07/2013 20:52

even all, welcome jesus.

today ive tried to be out more than i was home. cant seem to shift this headache ive had for days!

was feeling a little lost earlier, had empty thoughts instead of the usual racing / overthinking thoughts. Confused maybe its just normal thinking where im used to having so much going through my head?

today i plucked up the courage to call 'fresh start' to arrange for a phone assessment re CBT - was so far into answering all these questions when he said 'oh hang on you have to call (another borough) not this one!'

it was the number given to me by the assessment time who arranged my home visit in aug! i hate making phone calls and now i have to sit there and repeat all the questions again and i get so anxious over the phone. wish i could say my days been great LEMS.

hope every one else has had a good day

LEMisdisappointed · 01/07/2013 20:58

Its good to be out mouses. My DD wants me to go and see her and go shopping tomorrow. I hate shopping, but it will be good to see my DD so will be out and about tomorrow too. Well done on making that call - i know how hard that sort of thing can be. Frustratting re having to call another place but you have proved to yourself that you can do it!

My day has been ok, hayfever at bay, but been indoors most of the day. I needed to be, felt ill with it yesterday, so many peole really suffering this week.

ColouringInQueen · 01/07/2013 21:02

mouses well done on making that call. I think you should reward yourself once you've done it the second time. Really good to get out too. Hang in there x

lem glad its helped being indoors today. Good for you for taking up the shopping challenge - its not easy. I find clothes shopping partic diff for some reason!

Counselling tomorrow which is prob just as well. DS has a friend round after school so fingers crossed its better than the last time!

bobblypop · 01/07/2013 21:10

evening all.
sorry to be brief, but struggling today.feel I'm really slipping back down...
still going though and hoping I can just blunder trhough it Hmm
higs to all in need.
off to bed soon as anxiety is mounting and only place I want to be is alone under the duvet.Sad

bobblypop · 01/07/2013 21:11

hugs not higs (whatever they are!)

LEMisdisappointed · 01/07/2013 21:16

higgs? Aren't they Higgs Bosuns? The God molecules? If indeed they do exist!

Sorry you are having a bad day bobbly - bed is a good place to be, and you are not slipping, you are having a bad day/couple of days, you'll climb back up again xx

Good luck with the counselling CiQ

mouses · 01/07/2013 21:39

i will get round to calling again. hate the shaking i get when i make calls Sad

sorry to hear some of you havent had the best days, tomorrow will be better x

lems - enjoy your time with DD tomorrow
clouring - hope your counselling goes well
bobbly - hope your anxiety eases up

sorry if ive missed any one

TheSilveryPussycat · 01/07/2013 21:57

Plan: reply to you in reverse order of posting (apols if this strategy fails before I get to you Confused )

mouses I remember how awful it is when you have psyched yourself up to make a call, and then find you have to make another one... I am past that now, but I didn't manage to sort that one in myself till well into my 50's.

Had to hang on phone for ages trying to speak to tax people to report that I couldn't download form from gov website, only to find that I don't need to anyway :) Nice bloke, money will be winging its way to me in the next month. Also checked my State Pension forecast, had a good day sorting financial stuff, and finished the fridge!

SnowyMouse · 01/07/2013 22:00

That sounds nicely productive SPC

Just popping in to say good night to all, rest if not sleep.

ColouringInQueen · 01/07/2013 22:03

Night snowy

(((hugs))) bobbly. Be kind to yourself. As lem says its just a day or two.. take care.

spc great news on the ££ front, and now would you like to pop down the road and do my fridge?!

TheSilveryPussycat · 01/07/2013 23:03

LEM hayfever sounds awful, glad it abated a bit, harder to cope with physical ailments when down, otoh does sunshine cheer you up at all?

Last month was one of the nicest Junes we've had in the NE -it's my favourite month, the sky never gets totally dark here (unless it's cloudy!!), however good Junes have been a rarity for some time...

On the last day of June I went with Bloke to see where the River Browney joins the River Wear :) :)
