I fasted all day until dinner out where I had an amuse bouche of potato and jam (obviously it had a different posh name!). It was about the size of a tea spoon so v v v small. And also bloody delicious.
And then monkfish wrapped in ham and some fabulous vegetables.
Followed by cheese and black coffee 🙈
And maybe three glasses of wine in total over the evening 😁
I didn't over eat. I didn't feel stuffed. It was small portions of absolutely amazing food and I didn't have bread or anything like that.
I may as well say it now though so it's out the way. I love the Fast 800 way of eating and subscribe to it; but I will never be able to give up lovely gourmet dinners like I have just had (and will have tomorrow too at a different restaurant 🙈).
What I AM happy to put on the record though is I am willing to forget junk food, chips, takeaways, etc etc. I am happy to never drink another Diet Coke in my life. I won't have a sandwich. If I never give in to junk food, surely the occasionally chef night is okay?
And I am not ever going to ask a chef in a decent restaurant to muck about with their menu and chosen specials to eliminate all carbs as that really is rude imo.
Tomorrow, I intend to fast all day again and skip breakfast and lunch to mitigate it, and I won't touch the bread basket.
I really hope this hasn't made me go backwards too much, but life is so short and tonight was GOOD food.
When I moan in a few days the scales have still not moved, nobody please point out I shouldn't have eaten out 😁
