@PhoenixMama As someone who is also rarely invited to ‘do’s I totally feel your pain. You just want to be on best form and get the most out of it. Really hope it’s still fun.

All’s well here except I’m a bit, um, bunged up. Drinking pints of water, eating ALL the veggies and still no ‘developments’. Happened to me last time too, darn it. Time for an extra gallon of water (and hunt out the senna tablets)

Period and third week and I’ve stalled. Does this happen to everyone? I’m still eating and drinking properly so no issues there.
How long until the weight drops again?

@Pookymalooky A week 3 stall is fairly common. If you keep doing the right things it shouldn’t last long. 🙂

Thanks Venus I hope it won’t last long 🤞🏼🤞🏼 It amazes me that we can stall when eating so much reduced calories! Like surely you HAVE to loose weight eventually!!

@Pookymalooky definitely common - hormones mess with everything! Probably even out when your period ends. I now know (by doing this) that my weight fluctuates by up to 6lbs when I have my period! Hang in there!

@Pookymalooky, I've really struggled with plateaus and slow weight loss. I'm still losing it faster on this diet than any other I've tried and I try to reason that at least I'm not putting on weight which is my default position!

Went a bit off plan yesterday and ended up with half a bottle of wine (was red at least so on plan?! Pah!) and a huge slice of cake which seemed a good idea post wine

back on today

Yoghurt and berries and walnuts
feta salad
lots of black coffee.

not weighed myself today and got a social weekend. God when am I getting to goal!!!!!

So my thing last night... turned out it wasn't a dinner at all but some casual drinks so not only was I TOTALLY overdressed I was also STARVING because I saved up all my cals for the day. Only upside was I felt justified going to Five Guys after for a burger. lol

Oh and the not drinking was fine - they had amazing virgin mojitos for those of us not drinking (definitely not just me) and so I had a drink in my hand the whole time. I think my biggest worry was that I'd be standing there looking like an idiot and people would ask questions but having that drink in my hand was amazing! Feel like I could do it a lot more now!

After being so good at my event it all went tits up yesterday as I came down with conjunctivitis in both eyes, a sore throat, had a row with my housemate, one of my projects didn't get funded and then the queen died and my housemate opened an expensive bottle of wine to make up/because of everything.

Not stepping on the scale today but I've not been too bad today really so hopefully by Monday I'll be in a much better place and just a week behind where I wanted to be!

Morning all - how were your weekends?

I'm so bloody annoyed - I was so good over the weekend, no booze, super low carb and I was hungry but ate cucumber when I was so very low cal/low carb snacks. I did a 7km walk on Saturday and went to the gym yesterday and today. I'm UP!!! It's only 1lb but it means the total loss last week was only 0.6lb. I just don't get it. I was definitely under 900 cals each day. Hoping there's a whoosh around the corner but this is what happened last time I went back on Fast800 - I stalled loss wise almost right away. It's such an inconvenient way to eat long term, especially if you're not losing. I'm so demoralised, I need to be really careful I don't use it as an excuse to go crazy 'because being good isn't working so it doesn't matter'.

You know it goes this way sometimes, and good days always count in the end. It is unbelievably frustrating ‘though. Would keeping away from the scales for a while work for you? Just concentrating on the WOE?

As I am only just heading into wk2 I haven’t stalled yet, but I know it’s coming for me in a week or so! Yesterday I reminded myself how tough it is to run on low carb diet. I’ve got the Great South Run in 5 weeks so need to do long runs. 6m yesterday was so hard - legs were okay ish, and fitness was okay ish, but after 3m I had no energy at all. Hoping my body will adapt and burn fat a bit more efficiently, but may need to do mini carb meals if that’s not working in a week or two.

Food wise, I’m not getting hungry, but I do find the food, um, dull on Fast 800. Sort of helps motivate me to be good so that I can get back to a bit more variety in 6-8 weeks. 🤞😁

@VenusInfers Well done you for being able to run on this. I really struggled and eventually had to add 200 extra cals on run day because it just became too tough for me.

Down 1lb today so hopefully that means things are moving. Today's going to be tough as I'm at a conference with only sandwiches for lunch but hopefully I can keep dinner low carb

The more the merrier, though it’s gone a bit quiet around here lately😄

The first couple of days can be tough - drinking 3l+, having a bit of salt and making sure you get a decent balance of protein and fat is a bit of a job! Hang in there though, you should start to feel better very soon.

I’ve discovered my new favourite breakfast- one boiled egg, 8 sliced cherry tomatoes, a twist of salt and a teaspoon of peppery olive oil. Seems to hit all my cravings in the morning (as long as there is a huge mug of tea alongside, that is)

That breakfast sounds great @VenusInfers - my days are so much better when I have eggs to start the day

We'll I've finally past the half a stone mark & I'm down 9.4 lbs & only 2 & a bit lbs away from my first goal. But also lost 4.5 inches so far (mostly off my boobs of course no my waist!)

Have had a couple of biccys today but pretty low cal ones. Dinner is no carb so I figure I'll be ok!

I've also managed to go to the gym every day for the last 5 days AND I'm enjoying it which is a bit weird for me lol!

I'm on day 4 of no wine and 800 cals and low carbs and I think I'm past that horrible bit where I feel shit and have a headache and I feel pretty good actually. Although I'd really like to just be thin right now and obviously, that's not going to happen. OBVIOUSLY! I have loads of weight to lose, it's embarrassing but hey, this is a good start I reckon.

So far today all I've had is a smokey bbq crunch Graze snack, an apple and 20g of cheddar so that leaves me with 500 cals for dinner. I'm going to have a salmon steak with lemon and caper butter (will weigh the butter to keep it to 500 cals) and broccoli.

I'm logging it all on mynetdiary which I much prefer to myfitnesspal. Scanning stuff makes it so easy.

Hello all. I was wondering if I could join, I'm 5ft 4, and as of last Wednesday I weighed 12 stone 12. I'd really like to be 10.7 by Christmas but I'm not sure how easy that's going to be.

Wednesday is my weigh day and I'm hoping to post my calories on here daily to update on how I'm doing :)

I'm on 440 cals so far today with 358 left so I'm having a salmon fillet with lemon and caper butter (weighed butter) and samphire and green beans for dinner.

@SweetFannyAdamsDog that dinner sounds great - salmon is such a satisfying meal. Yum. When there is so little food, every meal deserves to be special. And you can have really tasty food with this WOE.

I’ve now lost 6.5lbs in two weeks, taking me to 10st 5.5lbs, which I am almost happy with. I want to get under 10st by the time of a university chums reunion in just under 3 weeks. Do-able if I keep at it. And I will certainly be in a lot more of my favourite clothes, which will be a boost. Long term aim is 9st 3lb - which seems a long way away now, but is where I was in early 2020. The couple of size 10 outfits I bought then will be sitting and waiting for me for a while yet. Sigh…

How is everyone’s weekend going?

@VenusInfers - that sounds achievable. I’m a very long way from 10stone but going in the right direction. Had steak last night and drank wine but back to no alcohol from today until Friday

So just finished week 4 and I’ve had a complete stall this week! Weeks 1-3 lost 12lbs in total and then this week. Nothing!!!!
Its tricky to tell yourself not to worry, just to keep going isn’t it? I will keep going as I’ve read this happens to most people (?) but it’s annoying when you’re not doing anything differently!
