@FairyCakeSprinkles ill be back with u. Hoping it will just take a week to get back to where I am. Then it’s part 2 of weight loss
getting to goal! First part was loose baby weight/get to normal bmi. Have a lovely holiday x

FairyCakeSprinkles · 17/08/2022 23:13

You too @Addidas. We've got this 💪

TarasChoc · 18/08/2022 10:06

Holidays make it much harder. When you're struggling I think it makes sense to take a temporary step back and reset when you are ready. Otherwise you end up feel like you're doing the plan and not getting results.

Yesterday was 1200 calories and 55g carbs. I'm going to be following this a lot longer than 12 weeks so I'm not rigid on calories. Both dh and I are off work for two weeks, not going away but we've a lot on so I'm happy to be doing okay and not perfect.

bucksmum71 · 22/08/2022 13:33

Week 1 and 9 lbs down - very pleased!.

Following 16:8 fasting plan with two meals mainly taken from the Fast 800 recipe books. Saturday night the hardest not having a few G & Ts but sparkling water is my best friend.

Just another 120 lbs to go !

imnottoofussed · 22/08/2022 15:40

Well done @bucksmum71 that's a great start

I'm just trying to maintain before I go on holiday and then starting again straight after.

Rosehugger · 22/08/2022 16:32

Brilliant, well done.

TarasChoc · 22/08/2022 16:33

Great start buckmum.
I'm just about maintaining my first week's loss which I'm okay with.
we're off work for two weeks and have lots on including a wedding and overnight hotel stay and quiet a few meals out so I'm delighted to hold my own.

Whattheladybirdsaidnext · 27/08/2022 00:59

Joining… I did this before very successfully. I lost around 10kg in a month.

I am going away in October half term. I hate the way I look right now. I hate all the weight on my face. Makes me feel like I look dowdy and old. I’m only 40. I would like my knees not to hurt and to not need to hide from the camera. I want more energy, to be able to run after the kids. Not to want to avoid being seen in a swimming costume.

I have probably tendencies to binge eat. Thing is, when I did this before, I got out the habit of evening grazing and it was so freeing.

I am dreading the carb headache.

going to work out what I’m eating tomorrow, and go to sleep. Wish me luck…

Addidas · 27/08/2022 07:44

hello everyone I’m back!
I’ve not weighed myself but I have put on a lot. It’s been ten days of drinking and cake and icecream! I enjoyed myself but feeling bloated and uncomfy and am back on plan today.
will weigh in a few days as don’t fancy shedding tears
welcome to new starters!

Whattheladybirdsaidnext · 27/08/2022 12:25

Please can I have some reminders of how to get through the first week of headaches? I know try and drink lots… what else helps?

Pookymalooky · 27/08/2022 21:06

Just going to say hi. I’m on day 5, approximately 6lbs down. I’ve tried this diet before and got demotivated in week 3 as I was exercising so hard and just stalled.
id love to hear peoples stories of stalling and then whooshing so I can mentally prepare myself for the stall but keep on going!

Addidas · 28/08/2022 18:53

Can’t get back on
gonna have to weigh myself to give myself a fright and hopefully can start again .

TarasChoc · 29/08/2022 09:30

I'm restarting today after almost a week off when I attended a wedding, a 50th birthday and a few meals out.
I'm actually looking forward to starting. I find the fasting really helps stop me snacking and as someone said above that's very freeing.

For the headaches in the first week I find drinking Smart Water really helps.
I'm a scales addict, I'm considering ditching them and doing a monthly weigh-in. I get too affected by the scales fluctuations.

Addidas · 29/08/2022 10:01

So I weighed myself. Was shocking. It’s been 2 weeks totally off plan . I can’t bring myself to write what my gain is but safe to say I’m on it today and hoping I’m back to where I started in a week maybe??? Today plan
yog and berries
tuna salad

xxx

TarasChoc · 29/08/2022 10:25

Put it behind you addidas, I'm not even going to weight myself I can imagine what it is.
Really at the end of the day the scales don't matter what matters is if we're following the guidelines the rest will follow.

Addidas · 29/08/2022 19:24

I’m glad I’m back on, I wasn’t perfect but I also didn’t go mad. Prob on 1000 and 80g carbs(!). Will aim to be more on track tmrw and i will weigh and post tmrw :(

Addidas · 30/08/2022 08:57

So I didn’t manage again last night. I was good all day and then had a sandwhich and icecream. Really struggling to get back on. Today is another day and I’m going to to do it!

weight after 12 days of being very naughty and not following plan at all. 11.9
which is a 8.5 pound gain - terrible.

will it be off in a week? I hope so.

strawberrybarn · 30/08/2022 09:23

Could you go back to basics @Addidas? Maybe stick really rigidly to a fasting window (18:6 or 20:4?) or even try OMAD?

I am in the zone just now, weighing in at 101.8kg this morning (starting weight 15/11/21 123.7kg/starting weight on F800 on 25/7/22 108.1kg) - I am desperate to see under 100kg! Then my next target is 95kg (15 stone).

Today, I'm planning to have a random mix of things that need eaten up, a kind of salad - lambs lettuce, cooked chicken fillet, houmous, salsa, falafel, pomegranate seeds.

Zott · 30/08/2022 12:19

Popping in to say hi. I’ve been missing for almost 2 weeks, on holiday in UK until Friday.

Well done those who are sticking to it and losing weight.

@Addidas I haven’t weighed in ages, been eating bread and drinking wine so I am probably back to square one as that’s all it takes for me to balloon (age 55). Saw myself naked after my shower yesterday and I didn’t recognise my body, so much fat! I am thinking of restarting on Monday 5th September. I think I will try Fast 800 again as I love the Mediterranean food. I do need to think of something else to motivate me, not sure what, maybe keeping a diary or trying C25K or joining the online Fast 800. I’ve been trying to lose weight for 3.5 years!

PhoenixMama · 30/08/2022 12:28

Hello all!

i took the summer off (holidays, Italy, parties & celebrations galore) and so today is back on it - I’m looking at doing 12 weeks & then having a think.

I did this before and lost 50lbs (gained about half that back now) but struggled when I tried again because I was running 3 days a week. I’ve decided that I’m not going to run while I’m doing it this time around (it’s just too hard for me & I’m starving on running days and then feel rubbish about myself) but I am going to be going to the gym & using weights so will be more focused on losing inches & body fat in the beginning.

Someone mentioned hating the weight on their face & I’m totally there with that too. I need to get new photos taken for work in about 6 weeks so really want to lose as much as possible before what I look like is memorialised for the next year or two!!!

I really struggle with that ‘relaxing’ drink at the end of the day so pretty much giving up booze for the next month (aside from 2 big things already in the diary). I feel so much better generally when I don’t drink all the time but the habit is harder to give up than the booze itself!

Not looking forward to the headaches in the next week (I had the worst keto flu the first time round) but am determined to get back on track! Bring on the water & salt!!

TarasChoc · 31/08/2022 09:40

It's great to see the thread getting busy again and motivating to see what can be achieved.

I'm struggling a little too Adidas but what I've done the last couple of days is 16/8 fast and watched calories and carbs as much as possible. I'm still in a decent calorie deficit.
Today I intend to do a good shop and plan ahead what I'm eating which always helps. I haven't been getting enough protein or water in so I will work on those today.

I need to read the updated version of the book, I'm not sure why I haven't made sure to do that yet.

PhoenixMama · 31/08/2022 11:19

Morning! Closed the kitchen last night probably around 875 cals which I'm happy about! Also very happy with my 4.8lbs weight loss this week. (Totally all water weight and no alcohol lol but I'll take it!)

Definitely had an awful headache last night and felt more tired than normal but I'm also trying to get back to my 5:45am wake ups so slowly winding my alarm back so its not a big shock to my system, so not surprising I'm tired.

Last night was Salmon with tomatoes and broccoli from the Fast800 book which is so delicious. Made it with rice for the rest of the house but I didn't have it.

Eggs for lunch today and burgers for dinner. Finding not drinking the hardest which makes me slightly 🤔that I rely on it so much!!! Trying to find a nice low cal drink I can have instead to wean me off!

Zott · 31/08/2022 12:02

@PhoenixMama the only alcohol substitute I really like is Gordon’s AF gin, it’s also low calorie. Lots of ice and lemon and I feel like I am having my treat in the evening.

Addidas · 31/08/2022 12:57

Glad to see thread busy.
im back in the zone!!! Was brilliant yest and on it today

eggs salmon brocolli
am out and the menu is soooo carb heavy but think panzenella salad best option (won’t eat the bread in it )

not sure what I was thinking messing around so many days post holiday. Glad I’m back on and hoping these pounds shift asap so I can get back onto getting to goal

welcome back @PhoenixMama
@Zott its hard but it’s all a mind game. Once ur there in ur mind is doable. But if ur not it’s so hard. I don’t know why I go in and out of it. Def the holiday made me focus but then it also made me drink every day eat sooo much cake and icecream and put on half of what I lost (please let it be water weight!)

Rosehugger · 31/08/2022 16:10

On a bit of a plateau at the moment but I feel good and my clothes are looser. It's my birthday on Friday and we'll be eating out.

@PhoenixMama You could do it 4:3 instead or 3:4 to account for your running days?
